Deadspin: Why Your Team Sucks

well I made it to his trashing Miller. I could point out where I think he is erroneous but I will let Texans counter him on field. If they do not it still doesn't make everything he said correct but I will be dissecting what I saw and not interested in his opinion.

I call B.S. One guy said he was a Texans fan _and_ a Cowboy fan? How is that
even possible!?!?

The one for the Browns was pretty epic though..

I am a fan of both. Grew up in Dallas and then after college in California moved to Houston for 21 years and had Texans PSLs from day 1 until I left 1.5 years ago. Never quit rooting for Dallas except when they play the Texans. As a kid in Dallas I rooted for the Oilers as a Texas team.

What's wrong with it? They're ribbing every team in the league. Perfect antithesis to the 0-0 every-team's-a-contender kool-aid season.
No they didn't. I didn't see anything about the Steelers or the Patriots to name a couple of missing teams off the top of my head. The Panthers, Broncos, and Seahawks were missing too.
This was no lampoon of all league teams. Not at all.

I was under the impression, and perhaps wrongly, that they were making their way around the league and we just happened to be the most recent. They've pulled no punches on league darlings in Dallas, NYG, Indy, and NO.

If they're holding back on the more recently successful in the league I'd be a little bummed at their not having the audacity, but could also understand them at bare minimum finding the humor in lampooning the clearly lampoonable. To which we as of late have certainly been qualified, so ok just as well.

Perhaps. I didn't look at the publish date associated with each team/article so I don't know if they're doing one team per day or what.
I'm not going back to Deadspin to find out.
I already feel like my brain needs a shower for having gone there to begin with.

Funky
It's all fun and games until they sneak in that Brock's QBR last year was 48.78 over 8 games on the best team in the league, and Johnny Manziel's was 54.69 over 6 games while playing drunk for the Browns.

Deadspin has done this since 2012, and while it may take a few weeks for all of them to be published, they have always included all 32 teams.

This is a situation where the thin skin/stick up their butts/conspiracy prone folks will cry about it being mean and over the top, yet if they didn't include all teams - and the Texans were omitted - those same folks would scream about the lack of respect, East Coast (or West Coast, or NFC, or whatever) bias or some other National media slight.

Fair enough.

I'm currently running a training and am reading the Vikings preview while the trainees quietly do an exercise I've set them.

I read this

We have a left tackle I hope at least has the courtesy to yell “He’s coming!” at Bridgewater so that he can at least bite down on his mouthguard before getting exploded in front of his mom.

Almost spit take my coffee all over the front row and have to walk around the room 'checking on progress' so the room can't see LOLing up the front.
