Cap Situations Around the League

13 Houston Texans $14 M
All indications are that GM Charlie Casserly will exercise the $8 M option to bring David Carr back in 2006. Maybe he should spend some of the leftover cap money on an offensive line that may be able to protect this

Don't know how accurate this is and there are certainly a lot of funny numbers right now (does this really have TN at only over by $10 mil with McNair due a $50 mil bonus--which obviously won't get paid?). In any event, FWIW.

When looking over the potentially available FA lists though, it might be helpful to look at where the teams are cap wise. The biggest releases like Samari Rolle last year tend to come from bottom 5-8 teams.

hmmmm Thats interesting information. Looks like the Texans could afford to buy some players.

The way I read that chart was that Tennessee was over the salary cap. I'm math dumb though. Who knows how it's gonna all shake out?

I think Steve McNair has some ridiculous bonus supposed to hit this season, so that's why the Titans are projected so much over.

That was a typo which was meant to say, and now does, over the cap.
