The way Denver is playing we wont have to wait for Superbowl to end to get our coach. We will have him tommorow.

Denver is in trouble. Roethlisberger is a man with the two years only. Plummer is skaky.
You beat me to the punch, as I was about to post a similiar thread. It's now half-time and it's 24-3 Pittsburgh over Denver.

So if this lead holds up when will it become oficial that Kubiak is the Texans new head coach?

I'm sure it will be pretty close. Tomorrow could be the day. I'm hoping for it so they can get the coordinators hired and start the real work.

I usually don't like to count teams out til it's over (old Oiler fan in me), but it's starting to look like it.

Go Steelers! I never thought I'd utter those words!!
You will never hear those words from me no matter the situation. It's like saying "Go Cowboys!" in my book.

..... unless there is some miraculous comeback
I always hope that one day another city's team will have a huge lead and blow it, just so that team can get ripped for a change. We seemed to have been victimized twice.

I know Plummer hasn't played well, but that Denver D has done nothing to help him out. Pitt didn't punt in the first half. That's just pathetic. Sounds like the 2005 D of the Texans. That and Plummers WRs haven't caught some balls.

I always thought Ben was a guy that benefitted from the situation he was dropped into, i.e. great running game, great offensive line, great defense etc. etc. But last week and this week he has really looked like the real deal.

I agree that some guys can benefit from the situation like that but I also don't think some guys could handle the pressure and all. Look at the Bears this year. Ben handled it last year and as you said, the last two games has been great. It is that poise you cannot teach. Cowher and staff have done a great job working on picking up blitzes because they can't get to him. Ben also steps up and moves well in the pocket for a big man.

.. and then?
34-17 with 3 minutes left, Ben just running it in. It's over. Only the '05 Texans could blow a 3 score lead with 3 minutes left.

Dang, cause I like the Broncs too... better than the Steelers anyway. Ah well, both teams deserved to go - Pittsburgh just wanted it more. I do want to see Pitt's attitude with the Texans though in future years. Non-stop play, keeping the pressure and play to WHUP your opponent. Pfft the play it close attitude.
