Let's trade some of our 2007 draft picks for another 1st round pick!

Bush619

Practice Squad
This years draft has to be one of the best, so why not try to get more out of this years first round draft!:yahoo:

How does the 2007 draft look so far. I might not be againts it, but I don't know give me an idea of what next yr's draft looks like.

thats a great idea...we could probably get a late first-rounder for our next year's first since most teams know our record next year won't be too much better than it was this year

i hate this idea.....some names for 07, brady quinn, adrian peterson, calvin johnson, greg olsen, justin blaylock, joe thomas, ahmad brooks, paul posluzny, michael bush, laron landry........07 colud be better than 06!!

next year you have LaRon Landry, Joe Thomas, Ahmad Brooks, Justin Blalock, and Brady Quinn. All of who would've been 1st rounders this year. Also you'll have Michael Bush, Gaines Adams, Jeff Samardzija, Tyrone Moss and possibly Marshawn Lynch, Michael Hart, Brian Brohm and 2 guys that I would definantly love seeing as Texans:

Dwayne Jarret WR USC 6 5 210
and
Greg Olsen TE Miami(FL) 6 6 247

It might make you more excited about the draft this year but you would be pissed next year when we could have had one of those guys.

r u serious??????
this class is clearly betta than next year's
u say brady quinn, adrian peterson, calvin johnson, greg olsen, justin blaylock, joe thomas, ahmad brooks, paul posluzny, michael bush, laron landry

i say vince young, reggie bush, santonio holmes, vernon davis, dbrickshaw fergy, aj hawk the list goes on.
the only player i look at that hasn't come out that i would like on the texans is teddy ginn to stretch the field for aj

brady quinn will probably be the most successful QB in the NFL out of him, Young, and Leinart from what most scouts say. Peterson could easily be better than Bush since he has moves that are just as good, great speed, and nice size even though he could still probably get bigger. The WR class next year will be a helluva lot better and next year we might finally need to get AJ a counterpart. Greg Olsen and Davis, fine the Duke wins. The OT class next year will be just as good but I don't think we'll be spending picks on OTs that high once Kubiak gets here :) And then the RB class is freaking awesome. Marshawn Lynch #24 of Cal reminds me of another #24 RB that just won the OROY and Michael Bush, if you don't tackle him he'll run right over you!

The 07 class has potential to be better than the 06 class

Yes, but if they pick well this year, WE will not have as good an opportunity to get better fast with lower draft pick.(More than 2 wins). It is all about timing not Quanity or Quality of the picks.

u didn't mention defense, which looks pretty weak compared to this year.
i dont want a top ten pick for next year if i can have a first rounder from this year's draft that has a year of experience.

Your argument doesnt make sense at all because even if we did do the trade we wouldnt have a chance at any of the players you listed. We would at best have one of the last ten picks in the first round. And yes a top ten pick from 07 will be better than bottom ten pick from 06.

Quinns sister is hotter

Vince, Reggie & Matt are all #1 Quality Franchise picks (gotta go hometown on this one) as long as we don't get cute and over project our picks, with the best positioning of any NFL team, the Texans should have if not the best close to the best draft in the NFL or Casserly is Mud :stirpot: :swing:

Im sorry but I couldn't understand what your trying to say here? Even if we do trade for a pick in this draft we wouldn't be able to land one of the quality players from this year, and in all honestly our team has shown in 04 that we can be good so with the rookies of 06 and the good play from 04 our needs could be totally different in 07 but we wouldn't able to address them because shoot! we were impatient and traded away our 1st rounder of that year.
