What do you think if we could select him with the 1st pick in the 2nd round if he's available. Some say he's a borderline 1st round pick but if he drops to the 2nd round do you think we should select him? Faggins and Buchanan probably aren't starters, or didn't look like it last season. Youbouty is a Houston guy (went to Klein High School) and he's obviously got talent.

would be tempting, but Since we are getting Bush or Young with the first pick, i dont think we can afford to not look OL with that pick

We could easily get olinemen for the zone blocking scheme with our two third round picks. For example Eslinger and Mangold.

If we do continue to use the zone blocking scheme then I would like either a DE, LB, or a CB with our second round pick. Kia Parham, Abdul Hodges, Daryl Tapp, and Youbouty would be my favorite choices.

Naw Still don't think we can afford to pass up a 2nd round o-lineman in this years draft for ya boys...mangold and such and such...like I said I don't think we can afford to

ok, now we have gone to getting O-line help in the third round? I dont beleive you peopl. However, when its 3rd and 8 next season on a critical drive and the pocket collapses, Pitts or Wade gets beat on the outside and McKinney is driven back in to Carr and he is engulfed in a sea of DT's and DE's, know that we could have done what it took to make sure he has time in the pocket...but didnt because _____ (insert name here) was a once in a lifetime player who could not be passed up...

No thanks we already have Phillip Buchanon:heh: very similar players coming out of College. one thing that is in his favour I remember him playing high school football here in Houston @ Klein so if he he there in the 3rd I would be interested.

NO earlier. I like the kid,but from all reports and game film, he is VERY raw.

I'm sticking w/Ko Simpson at pick #33

This has been discussed in other threads.

Players that fit in the zone blocking scheme fall in the draft because they are undersized. If we drafted someone like marcus mcniel or Lutui the same thing would happen as the past years. They are two slow to be effective in the zone blocking scheme.

The Denver Oline
LT Matt Lepsis 6'4 290 undrafted FA
LG Ben Hamilton 6'4 283 Draft #4a (113th overall), 2001
C Tom Nalen 6'3 286 Draft #7C (218th overall), 1994
RG Cooper Carlisle 6'5 295 Draft #4b (113th overall), 2000
RT George Foster 6'5 338 Draft #1 (20th overall), 2003

It also says this about Foster A third-year tackle who is one of the largest Broncos linemen in franchise history
