Worst Starting Lineman?

Todd Wade by FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

McKinney is a subpar center, but adequate guard.

Wand is debatable because while he did not look great last year, he was not as bad as Pendry made him out to be. I will give him a pass until he is evaluated by Kubiak and staff.

With all the VY and Bush debate my head already hurts enough. Then you come in and ask a question that just sends me out into left field because I truly cannot tell you which one outside of Pitts blows chunks.

I'll second that motion. Wade is paid way too much for what we get.

Wand got screwed by Pendry this season. I'll reserve judgement until we find what Kubiak thinks. Interesting note: he is a restricted free agent. If they sign him for 2006, you know Reeves liked him.

At start of the season last year, Victor Riley was horrible...I mean just flat out bad. I remember watching him in training camp constantly getting bull rushed and then him gasping for air because he was so out of shape. That was one of the most pathetic decisions in this franchises history.

As far as our current roster is concerned, Todd Wade has become very dissapointing, and has not lived out to his contract whatsoever.

I thought the Young/Bush threads were pretty bad in their monotony, but now we'll start the Who Sucks the Worst genre. First O-lineman, then linebackers, then defensive backs, then receivers, etc. It'll be great!

It is a sad day when we can't leave it at constructive criticsm (even if it is misguided) but it is now the whole unit sucks, who's the worst.

However, I know my :twocents: mean little. I realize posts like this will end up with 30-50 replies, while football talk like this will die under 10:

Carry on!

Theres nothing wrong finding out which lineman each other thinks sucks and want gone off the team if you think its a stupid thread skip over it. my:twocents:

Well spoken.

Wade and McKinney. No doubt about. McKinney plays a little better at guard but I would still rather pick up Bentley and say goodbye to McKinney. Wade is probably going to stay because of his overinflated salary.

Wade and McKinney (at C). McKinney was decent at guard though. Weigert isn't too great either. Heck, everyone except Pitts and maybe Hodgdon.

Kubiak likes smaller, faster linemen. Wand is enormous and SLOW with very poor footwork. My guess is that Kubiak won't like Wand.

If Wand is so slow and has such poor footwork, why did those boneheads pick him to be our LT?

I still think he could do well somewhere, but I don't ever want to see him at LT again....EVER.

Because he drinks the same milk as Carr does and they thought that since that was happening then he'll at least amount to what Carr is. A wasted pick

Check out
http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/wand_seth

[bold]5.25 in the 40-yard dash[/bold] … 385-pound bench press … 380-pound power clean … 30-inch vertical jump ....

So you think that he has gotten slower in the NFL?

He also had the fastest cone drill of all tackles in his combine. His speed and quickness aren't his problem, although there are those that will tell you straight line speed and the cone drill are meaningless if they don't support their own position. I don't know why they measure them.

However, you are missing the point of this thread - it is about negativism, not evaluation.

That is simple - the one that got beat or was penalized on the last play. We are not that good as a collective offense to hand out best and worst awards at any position. We collectively stink.

If I had to pick one that was terrible it would be Wiegart.... Hes played so many years, hes lost his mobility and in denvers offense we need our guards out pulling... Wiegart to me seems to need help from McKinney, or the center because the DL beats him with the inside move... I would also like to nominate Fred Weary as well... he has never become the RG we envisioned him being when we drafted him...

Yes the unit is bad as a whole, but one or 2 lineman can make a whole line bad... look at the cowboys when they lost thier LT last year they had the same problems we had...

Starting wise Wiegart is our biggest holdup, I think we get a quality guard in there, then the other lineman dont have to try and help him and may improve overall

The guy who plays behind the center. He's close enough to the line to count.

You mean the guy who can't stay off his A** becaause of the guys in front of him??

Oh wait, I forgot, Victor Riley has got to be the worst. Ever. In the history of lineman. No matter what team they play for.

Yeah the one who the IRS thinks is a hooker because he earns his $$ on his back.
I stole that line from a previous poster. Pretty funny.

That was pretty funny. So are you saying he should come out in 6 inch spike cleats and thigh highs?:superman:
