INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 14, 2006) -- Indianapolis Colts starting cornerback Nick Harper was hurt in a traffic accident Jan. 14 and is questionable for the team's AFC divisional playoff game against Pittsburgh, a team spokesman said.

Harper needed stitches on one of his knees, spokesman Craig Kelley said.

Other details weren't immediately available."

I just heard on CBS that his wife cut him with a knife on the knee, and that she is in jail right now.

I guess they thought her name was traffic accident...

I read about this on the Jags MB, someone also posted he was cut in the knee by his wife and is now in jail, although no link was posted.

Hamilton County Sheriff Doug Carter said Daniell Harper, 31, was being held without bond on charges of battery with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness.

Nick Harper was treated for a knee injury at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. His injuries were not life-threatening, Carter said.

Harper, a starter, was listed as questionable for Sunday's AFC divisional playoff game against Pittsburgh.

Earlier Saturday, Colts spokesman Craig Kelley said Harper had required stitches in his knee following an "accident." He said he had no other details
 
He injured the other knee in the game. It's reported that he had 3 stiches from his wifes attack, so probably not a sever wound unless its a puncture.

If the reports are true, he had missed with the wife and she wasn't going to take anymore, playoff game coming up or not.
 
Now it's officially her fault the Colts lost. Harper, I don't know what you did to that woman. But, let this be a lesson not to do it again.
