AFC PLayoffs: Steelers Vs Colts

Is anyone else irritated we didn't draft Miller instead of drafting TJ. Nothing against TJ, but Miller is so good. Here's his stats this year that really showed up to me:

Rec: 39
Yds: 459
TD: 6
8 receptions of 20+ yards
2 receptions of 40+ yards

This is a team that doesn't throw that much. Think of what they would have been provided he was in a system that is more balanced, instead of an all running team like Pitt. I figured Miller would hav gone in the 1st round, I just wish we would have drafted him.

Smith does pretty good work overall, but one on one there are not many good options against Freeny.

Refs really needed a no-call or "dual" call on those facemasks. The Colts are getting schooled thus far in almost every phase of the game.

1st quarter of this game has done nothing to refute the notion that Manning and Dungy are poor big game performers.

I'm just as irritated that we didn't draft Jason Whitten when we took Bennie Joppru.

There was no other thread available for you to express that? We are talking about a specific football game in this one.

It just got a lot more quiet ... glad they didn't give'm the saftey cuz Pittsburgh just shoved it down their throats again ... game over.

Was over there on their msg board. I sooooo, wanted to rub it in. But as a Houston fan I've got class. You'd think they would play w/ more fire w/ what has happened over the past month, and then the Broncos knocking off the Pats.

Anyone wondering what Manning would have done playing in Houston the last few years? You are seeing it today. Yet some continue to believe that Carr is the problem. It's funny what happens when Superman doesn't have time to throw.

Manning had plenty of time on that last throw when he threw the INT to Polamalu...

Maybe you're right, but that was one play. When Manning has time to throw, he makes much better decisions. When he is being blitzed (see this game and the Charger's game) he makes rushed decisions. So our 50 plays > your 1 play

Manning still has over 200 yards with all this pressure, 200 yards for Carr would be a career day...

Amazing we can't watch and comment on one football game w/o it turning into Carr/Young/ Bush or OL.

That was the closest 'disputable' I've ever seen on an overturn.

I hate to see the officials become so instrumental in the outcome. The no-call on the false start/encroachment was another that was a bit bizarre.

HA HA HA!!! The Steelers get screwed by the officials!!! If there is any team I don't mind see getting screwed by the zebras, its the Steelers!!!
HA HA HA!!!!

That overturn of the interception was god awful. If Pittsburgh loses this game because of that call the city is going to riot, and I might fly to Pittsburgh to help.

30 year late retribution for the Mike Renfro call, huh

Yep.

I giggle every time the Steelers get a bad call against them. Even if they get a thousand bad calls, its still karma coming back to bite them.

Vanderjagt, the latest casualty.

Fealy
Brown

Vanderjagt.

I forgot, but didn't Vinatieri miss one last night as well??

That was a great 4th quarter.
The liquored up kicker is gonna get run out of town...

Most underrated play: Big Ben tackling Harper on the fumble return...

I know what the fans feel like... Win 11 in a row and secure home field throughout, throw in a few distractions along the way like Babygate, Jeff Alm, and the Punch....but then blow it at home in the Divisional round when it's supposed to be your year.

I feel bad for Dungy...but I don't like the Colts otherwise.

Yeah, I feel bad for him. Only reason I don't like the Colts though is b/c we haven't beaten them yet. You'd think the Indianapolis Chokes would have came thru.

Part of me still does not like the Denver Broncos even though our future is there. I'd like for the Steelers to win it. At least they are trying to keep one of their guys going for one more game. plus Kubiak can hurry up and take the job and get the coaching staff together.

Most underrated? They made a BIG deal out of that play. It did save the game for the Steelers.
I didnt hear all the noise about it during the game.

They are talking about it now on the post game, but my post was made when the Steelers were kneeling....

Wow, just wow.

The Drunk-***** kicker misses. I was saying it though..

"He'll miss this kick because of them showing that "6/6,14/14 at home" graphic." Colts aren't winning anything now. That window might be closed for good.

Yep. It's amazing how similar the Manning Colts and Moon Oilers are.

Breaking News:

Vander"jakced" is moving into the RCA Dome never to leave again, in fear the Colts fans will hurt him.

don't you just hate when that happens. I think every team has fallen victim to something like that almost every game.

It never crossed my mind that he would miss it. I get that feeling when I see teams set up for the field goal, but the Colts tried to win the game by throwing down field and not depend on the kicker.

I know it crossed my mind. Will give them props on going for the win, though. After all "YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME."
