Question from a Jet Fan.

The Jets will be franchising John Abraham and looking to trade him.

When Gary Kubiac comes here theres a good chance he converts your defense to a 4-3.

Looking at your talent, even though you have been drafting for a 3-4, It really is suited for a 4-3. Anyway just proposing this.

Can anyone envision a trade involving John Abraham and the #4 pick for #1.

The Jets might have to include an additional mid round pick, but it would instantly convert your defense, and you guys would still end up with Dbrickshaw Ferguson.

This is just hypothetically, wanted your thoughts.

Btw, obviously you guys are staying at #1. But Im hoping for you guys you end up with Vince. Once he runs in the combines around a 4.4 I think it will become clear. If someone puts this kid in a good situation, he has the most potential I have ever seen.

This is Casserly, we accept your offer. You cannot back out now, we have an agreement in writing...:heh:

Back toward the end of the season I had floated the idea of trading the pick for an known impact defensive veteran and picks. This is the type of offer I hope we see a lot of so we have even more options to consider.

This particular trade would allow us to get immediate help in the defensive line AND allow us to draft an o-lineman early. Talk about addressing the trenches!

okay okay just so we stop and take a breath here. You know the Jets wouldn't be ready to part with Abraham if they liked him. I seem to recall an incident with John Abraham where he sat during a crunch period for the Jets playoff run a couple of years ago. He sat because of contract gripes or something. Said it was an :injury:. Let's don't overlook the warning signs like we did on that stud Buchanon.

The Jets are possibly fixing to cut ties with Kevin Mawae, Abraham, and Curtis Martin because of serious cap problems. I think their cap is projected at around $120 million for next season if I remember correctly.
