I know you guys are caught up in the draft Vince or Reggie Debacle and you really don't want to throw away Carr or Let Vince Young or Reggie Bush go to a Conference Rival so will offer you this trade since we will have a hard time drawing free agents due to the aftermath of Katrina and we need to stock up on young talent. We also agree not to Franchise LaCharles Bentley; also giving us an extra pick from the league.

Swap us picks: will give you our 2nd over all pick in the 1st round our 2nd over all in the second round and our 4th round pick for The 1st overall pick and our 3rd rounder back?

We then agree not to trade the pick to anyone wanting Bush. We would then trade the 1st over all pick to the Cardinals for their 1st, 2nd, and next years 1st so they can grab Vince Young.

We would then go out and grab Cutler with 10th overall pick, leaving you free and clear to grab Bush 2nd over all, washing your hands free of the Vince Young Controversy and grabbing a higher pick in the second round; and paying Reggie Bush a lessor rookie pay scale; being the fact he went second and not first. A win win for everyone. :pigfly:
 
We'll do that trade ONLY IF you trade that #1 pick to someone who wants Bush only. That way, we still get Vince and all those extra picks to build in the trenches around him.

See what you can work out with the Giants. After Tiki's comments about his coach they might be looking for another back. :)

Why trade a pick for multiple pix?
Then you turn 1 potential bust into many.
We need to stop being tricky. We took Babin in the 1st but basically financed on the Texacredit the future of the Titans just to square off the deal. They got lucky (actually they got F. Reese) and hit on most of those pix.

Lets just take what we got for once, try it for a couple of seasons, and see where it gets us. I hate trading pix. What traded pick has woked out for us? If there's one out there let me know, it's late and I don't feel like looking it up. Save the T. Johnson stuff too, hopefully that'll work out. But in the same regard we could've just drafted him with the original pick.

The only trade scenario I would like is similar to the Manning trade a couple years ago in the draft.

The Texans either pick Bush or trade the pick for

The recieving teams 1st pick + next year's 1st + 2nd round this year + 4th round pick this year.

If the Texans can't get the value for the pick, then they need to keep the player.

Sounds like a lot of IFs and back-door dealing that has to work out. I'd still prefer to trade down farther ourselves and either grabbing Mario or addressing the OL in the 1st round, but if we are sold on getting Bush then I'd be open to such a trade if it can indeed work out, and I agree there is a considerable chance the Cards would take Bush at #1, the Lions and Raiders are looking for a QB and would maybe be willing to trade to get Young/Leinart, but they may just sit where they're at and take Cutler/Jacobs there.
 
The main thing about this trade is to not face Vince Young twice a year. andhave that black lash of not taking him everytime he step on the field; or competing for the division championship. Trust me trades like this do get discuss in quite detail and senarios, that's why they have Draft War Rooms.
