Wolf

100% Texan
RODERKUS WRIGHT
(Ex-Oregon/Grossmont JC, CA)
6050, 270 pounds, 4.65

PROFILE:
Try not to laugh when you read these stats, but keep reading to better understand how they came about… 65 tackles, 45 tackles for loss, 26.5 sacks, 66 QB hurries, five blocked kicks, five forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and four pass breakups in 13 JC contests this year… games reviewed include San Jacinto, Victor Valley, Antelope Valley, College of the Canyons and City College of San Francisco; many of which he only played into the early portion of the second half…

He could make a good 4-3 end if we switch. I think I've seen him listed at sizes between 6-4 250 and 6-6 280. Not tackle or linebacker material it seems.

I know he got into some trouble and hopefully he has fixed that part of his life. I was trying to find some stats on how he did when he was with oregon and if he played at all but yahoo, didn't come up with much

That would be one big linebacker.

what kind of trouble? winston justice trouble? clarrett trouble? or marcus vick trouble?

i think i read that he has matured and stayed away from trouble while at JuCo.

I think he would be a very good DT, but could easily play DE. He would have to spend some time at the bottom of the charts, but he could quickly work his way into the rotation depending on what personal moves we make this offseason.

Walker is getting old and Payne is getting old. If we can get this guy in the 7th or even 6th, he'd be a good pick.

We may not even have to draft him, but I would prefer us draft him than let him chose a team via FA.

you are probably right, I misread it.. this is the only thing I came up with which isn't bad.

Eugene, OR (Gem Casino) - The Oregon Ducks have suspended defensive end Roderkus Wright indefinitely for breaking an undisclosed team rule.
Coach Mike Bellotti made the announcement Friday. Wright, a 6-foot-4 sophomore reserve, registered six tackles in four games this season, including three sacks and a forced fumble.

Wright was suspended for the first two games of the season.

he deffinitly seems well worth the gamble. I would rather us draft him as opposed to us having to try and sign him through FA. He could easily turn out to be a steal, he has all the physical tools, and assming he has matured enough, seems to posess a football mind.

Briging up this thread from way back, but I found his pro day stats. He worked out at Grossmont College, and:

GROSSMONT COLLEGE: MARCH 29
Player Position Gil's comments
Workouts were held at the Home Depot Center in California. 20 teams were present, including the Raiders defensive staff. Thirty players from assorted schools worked out outdoors on FieldTurf in very good weather.

Roderkus Wright DE Wright (6-4, 275) ran his 40s in 5.03 and 4.95 seconds. He also ran the short shuttle in 4.70 and had 22 bench presses.
