Sitting here watching Sportscenter and they just reported that we are interviewing Fresno State's Pat Hill for our head coaching spot today. Haven't heard anything about it until now. Maybe I missed it.

Yeah I heard this yesterday. I think it is a joke. Why bring in a guys college coach unless you know he is the player you will keep for the future.

It was reported on 610 am this morning.

I don't think it would be a wise choice to pick him up as a HC. Maybe a OC/quarterbacks coach position.

I wouldn't mind seeing Pat Hill with some sort of job on the team. He looks like a pretty intense guy and wouldn't let our guys half *** it for the whole season like our former staff did.

I have no problem with the Texans getting him some ink. I would think that the interview is more for us to try and extract another take on DC.

He was Carr's college coach - maybe he could be his qb coach or OC here...

Hill is supposidly interviewing with Houston, New Orleans, Rams, and Oakland. The man is the opposite of Capers in dealing with the Public, but he is a no nonsense guy who works his you know what off. He is a very good coach who knows how to motivate and teach. There is no way Fresno State's talent is equivalent to SC, but we should have won the game. Do not under estimate this guy's ability. By the way he does like to run the ball as well as pass it. He is actually a run 1st kind of guy. Some of you have been laughing all along, but don't be surprised if he doesn't get a good look. Remember, he has previous time in the pros in the coaching ranks. He would come highly recommended by some of his NFL head coaching friends including Bellicheck. Oh, well, what more can we say. It is an interesting development and time will tell. Supposidly his biggest suitor is Oakland. I said earlier you might see Carr in Oakland with Hill. The valley has a very strong QB relationship with Oakland over the years. Lamonica from Clovis and the former head coach and QB came from Sanger. The later one's name escapes my memory. They were associated with some of the best Oakland teams. I think Davis would like both Carr and Hill. Both are tough blue collar guys. They fit his mold real well.

I am hearing mixed messages regarding Pat Hill. It seems that he is really being considered for the OC position, remember he was Carr's college HC. However, other reports have said Kubiak wants to bring one of his guys in. But I think if Pat Hill is with the Texans next year he is the OC.

Espnews said that Texans will be interveiwing Pat Hill. Look like we will be keeping Carr:tv:

If Pat Hill is hired over all the other candidates, I swear......WOW, that'll be the kicker! I will be very depressed and even more doubtful about this organization. Hopefully, he's just that...a candidate. Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't mind seeing him on our staff in some capacity, but not head coach.

Ibar is correct...this guy is gonna get an nfl job...I just hope its with someone other then the Texans...Kubiak gets my vote...

This was reported last night on FOX extra points. Mark Berhman was the only guy at the airport.

I do not like his philosophy and how it translates into the NFL, however I would like to see him as a QB coach.

Carr QB Coach

Hill is not a QB coach. He is a head coach who has had a lot of good QB's because of his QB coaches and OC's. He also has one of the best Special Teams coaches in the country working for him now. Most people here simply would prefer for him to stay here. He's kind of like our Osborn. Its going to be interesting to see what the Texans do. The owner is now between a rock and a hard place. I think he wishes the Texans had won a couple of more games. It would have made things a heck of a lot easier.

Yea they brought him in for a fake interview.:ok:

Fake interview? Not sure what that means, but in the real world companies and teams do bring in candidates to extract best practice.
