Bud Adams is laughing in River Oaks

Shouldn't they have someone throw him out of Houston? Where does he get off keeping a home in Houston? That really irritates me.

Don't the teenagers know to choose his house to wrap?

Wanna be irritated. Wait until his 2006 draft pick comes to his hometown and kicks the crud out of the Texans once a year. That will be irritating.

He shouldn't be laughing too much as the owner of a team that went 4-12. Better than us, but not by much.

TWICE a year, but his draft pick will probably be studying a notepad on the sidelines.

He only comes to H-town once a year for the game, the other game is in Tennessee :)

If we pass on Bush they'll take him. It's really win-win for the Titans.

Unless NO trades the pick. (my preference) Or takes one of the two.

Then the Titans get neither Bush or VY.

Personally, that is what I am hoping for.

Good point, I'll start hoping for that scenario too :)

Then Norm Chow gets to coach Matt Leinart again. That doesn't come with personal angst to many Houstonians, but Leinart can very well turn out to be a very good NFL QB and kick our butts twice a year as well. It's really a no-lose situation for the Titans.

It's really no-lose for the Texans. They get the player of a generation, possibly a lifetime. He's a freak. He is the Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods of football. Go back and watch his highlight reels. He will do the same thing in the NFL and the team that gets him will be the luckiest team in the league. Trust me on this.

Then again, the Titans could pick one of the other top prospects, and by-pass Young or Leinart. There is no sure thing. I wouldn't be surprised if they choose Mario Williams, D'brick, or A.J. Hawk, either.

There is no gaurantee that Young will go in the top 5, regardless of how much potential he seems to bring.

He would go no later than three to the Oilers. That won't happen because the Texans are taking him first. They have to. He's the best player in the draft.

Yep.
Like I've said many times before: if an NFL coach can't design a successful offense around the sickest talent to ever come out of college, then he is not truly a professional coaching talent. And to all of you naysayers who talk about VY playing out of the shotgun (besides the fact he played over center quite a bit), don't forget Buffalo's four trips to the Super Bowl with a shotgun offense, and VY is even more phenomenal than Jim Kelley.

And if he does go to the Oilers, I may start breaking out my old Luv-Ya-Blue gear; despite that jackass Bud Adams. This is pro-sports, these franchises deserve no loyalties from me. My loyalties are with my colleges and high school. My loyalties to pro franchises went out the window when my beloved team flew to Jacksonville, back to Houston, to Memphis and then to Nashville. I love Houston and I love the Texans for now, but I'm not going to stay loyal to a team owned my a South Carolinian, if he can't realize that one of the most exciting (and maybe one of the most dominant) football players to ever play should be playing in his home town. The stars aligned. What better of a scenario could a Texans fan hope for. Maybe New Orleans will be dumb enough to trade their pick for Carr and a few others and we can draft VY and RB.

not saying isn't a phenomenal athlete, but i would say "the best athlete ever" to come out of college is going a little far.

well... let see, he is the only quarterback in NCAA history to pass for 3000 yds and rush for 1000 yds in a season. He is as big as some defensive linemen and can run as fast and quick as the top running backs in college and maybe even as fast a quick as some pro running backs. Most people just can't tell because he is so tall and big it seems like he is just gliding through defenses; and he is.

I don't know. I don't really care if we go for Bush of Young with the first pick. I'll root for the Texans regardless of what player we get, and either player will have a great impact on our team. Bush and Young would probably fit into two different offenses, but both types of offenses are aggressive and fun to watch. Let's get our head coach first, then let that head coach figure out what type of team he sees us having in the future years, and then draft the player best suited for that. I'm actually more interested in what players we get in round 2-7, because these draft picks will, as much as whomever we get in the first, determine the success of our team in the future. :)

how many d-lineman get away with being 230? i guess the words tall and big are one in the same to you.

Not quite. But many college DE's are only 240-260 and not even 6'5", smart guy. And I loved the interview with one of USC's defensive lineman after the Rose Bowl (can't remember which one because I don't really know who any of them are), he said something like, and I'm paraphrasing, I just wasn't prepared for how big he was no matter what I was told or read, he was eye to eye with me, and as big. Add that to the fact that he couldn't catch him in his dreams... oh well, why should I really respond to such a smart *** comment. I took the bait.

I agree Reggie Bush is amazing. I just watched another highlight real. Wow Wow Wow. He is a stud. Plus he is very well spoken and carries himself like a pro.

To think he is averaging 2 yds per carry more than Vince Young and Bush plays behind a worst O-line and doesn't have the threat of throwing the ball to keep defenders guessing. That just baffles me.

I hope we don't blow that pick.

You only blow it if you take Bush. And stop with the well-spoken smack. We all know what that is code for.

Actually we don't all know what that is code for?

I have no clue? Please enlighten me.

So you watched a HIGHLIGHT reel. That shows the highlights. Gee, and it was impressive? I bet you could put together a bootleg tape of all of the amazing plays vince young has made and you would be just as impressed. Well spoken? Doesnt win games. The QB averages less ypc than the RUNNING BACK? be still my heart. How many yards per pass does reggie have? Reggie plays on a glorified college all star team, and vince plays with mostly unknown offensive talent. Young? Better player. Bush? Biggest bust in my memory.

1. The threat of Vince Young throwing will move a defender to his heels. It is called a pump fake. It is done all the time.

2. Reggie Bush in his career at USC averages over 17 yards per pass. Yes that is almost as twice as high as Vince Young. LOL no he doesn't throw very often but since you asked, I thought I would answer.

3. Calling Reggie Bush a bust is crazy talk. I wish some of you people would realize that there is more that one right answer in a draft. BOTH players probably will end up being great. You don't have to bring down the other player

Are you going to tell me that the University of Texas does not have a better Offensive Line than USC. Texas' line is waaaaay better.

BTW I think Vince Young is the best QB prospect to come out of college in a long time. I think he is better than Vick by a long shot. I would not be unhappy if we drafted him. I am a huge LongHorn fan and I even went to the Rose Bowl. LOL want to see some picture of me and my friends laughing and going nuts in the confetti and basking in the glory of victory. Sooooo much fun.

But I am a Houston Texans fan. Drafting Reggie Bush would not be a bad thing. Drafting Vince young would be great too. I think we have a ton of great options.

Bottomline is in the very near future. We are going to be seeing Bush, Leinart, or Young in a Titans uniform lighting up the Texans and it is going to suck.

Im not an orangeblood, by any means. And im not tearing down reggie bush BECAUSE i think we should get vince young. I was tearing down reggie bush back when i thought we should trade down for d'brick. I truely, honestly, 100 percent in my heart think he will not make it in the NFL. Drafting Reggie WOULD be a bad thing in my opinion.
