The 2015 NFL Draft is on the move

Not just CHI, LA in play for 2015 Draft; so are DAL, HOU, PIT, PHL, BOS, others. Each to submit info to NFL by mid June; decision late June.

New York out of it entirely..............L.A. and Chicago the finalists.

LA would be a great location because they have so many hardcore fans that support both local teams. Hold on I'm having trouble finishing this post due to an issue with my new 56k dial up modem.

They don't want to move the time and having it in NY forced them to push it back.

Nope, Polian said that since God'ell moved the draft to it's current format he wanted the draft pushed back into May's TV sweeps week. (Both terrible ideas for fans but TV $$$$ rules.) I can also see how moving the draft around (Also a God'ell idea) could be a good idea because it expands the brand and gives fans in other cities a chance to enjoy the excitement of having the draft in their city. Although I do like having the draft in NYC.

IMHO make the draft city part of the Super Bowl City selection.

Or have the draft in the Super Bowl champions hometown.

That's a good idea but the main problem with that is it only gives the NFL 2 months to plan and prepare in a new city. A very difficult and almost impossible chore. Not to mention that all venues capable of hosting the NFL Draft have likely all been booked for quite sometime.

What about the winner from the year before? So this one would've been held in Baltimore, next years will be in Seattle, etc.

Hadn't thought of that but NC Texans idea above would work. I think

Or have it in the city who has the first pick. At least there would be a ton of local buzz. Not quite as exciting in the draft (I imagine) when you are picking 32nd overall.

Still wouldn't be enough time. Definitely need more than 4 months to coordinate all the logistics. Not uncommon for Venues to be booked 2-3 years in advance of an event.

Yeah that is probably right I guess. Not helped by the darn media circus they've managed to turn the draft into really...
