Jags stadium to have largest flat screens in the world.

Big Lou

Hall of Fame
"A South Dakota company is partnering with an NFL team to put the world’s largest high-definition LED video display at a Florida stadium.

EverBank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, will now boast two huge flat-screen displays that — if they were put on the field — would be long enough to reach just beyond the distance from one goal post to the other."

Guess they found something to replace the tarps!

Now all 1,500 fans in attendence will have a great view of the action. I guess they could always show a recorded footage of the 50 yard line on the screens to look like they have people in the seats.

Because..... you know..... the Alamo and all.

They're just buying those so the people in Jacksonville can watch the Jaguars in style once they start playing in London.

Hopefully they stream Netflix or hook up some video games. That'll be better than watching the JagOffs play.

Well, if the games suck at least you'll have your pool & cabana to fall back on...

Tarps, no more.

Can't wait for a camera to catch a too-much-whisky-made-us-frisky couple making waves in the shallow end of the swimming pool.

They can probably use to the tv cover over all those empty seats now. Think of how much they'll save in tarps!

Something just messed up about a team that can't sell enough tickets spending that much on something like that. Maybe they'll watch movies during the games or something.

Is it really a pool or just another tarp?

Think I saw a cheech and chong movie where one was "swimming"

Who wants to get a cabana in December?

I was thinking that also. It actually gets pretty cold in Jacksonville. They are way above the "frost line". Tampa and Miami could get away with that.

Anyway, I am glad they are doing those screens and trying to improve the experience there. I live 2 hours south of there and know the Texans will play there every season.

The Titans screens are really cool also. IMO they did it just right, in the end zones, huge but not too distracting (wow, I actually complimented the Titans organization).

With new billboard, Jaguars boast new video boards in friendly dig at Texas stadiums

This billboard recently went up on I-10 eastbound near the I-95 split.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have a message for AFC South rivals Houston Texans and “America’s Team” Dallas Cowboys: “Not everything is bigger in Texas.”

That’s the message on a new billboard along I-10 eastbound before the I-95 split.

The team, of course, is boasting about its new video boards that, at 362 feet wide by 60 feet tall, will the world’s largest when they debut July 26 at a friendly soccer game between Fulham FC and DC United, followed by a concert by country music superstar Carrie Underwood.

The new boards will dwarf those at AT&T Stadium (160 feet) and NRG Stadium (277 feet), where the Cowboys and Texans play, respectively.

The billboard is the latest piece of the Jaguars’ new marketing plan highlighting EverBank Field improvements designed to sell more tickets by offering fans a game-day experience far different than watching on their big screen TVs at home.

Now the screen is so big and resolute, the hundred fansi attending the Jags games will be able to clearly see up close and personal every ugly pimple of their fabulous team!

Do the Jags even have a fan base to observe these awesome guiness world record flat screens ?

They will soon enough. [IMGwidthsize=30]http://www.freestockphotos.biz/pictures/2/2980/arrow.png[/IMG] Great coach, culture change, drastic 2 year roster turnover, good FA additions... it's all on Bortles, now.

The NFL is pushing the Jags as "London's Team" LOL!

I can't see many or any fans in northern Florida traveling to London to see the Jags. That is why that line about the Jags "returning a limited allotment" is pretty funny. Florida teams have a hard enough time getting fans to drive 30 minutes to the local stadium.

If I were a Jags fan I would be insulted and upset that the NFL and Jags ownership are doing this.

The NFL could sell out preseason games over there like the European soccer leagues are doing here. The season ticket holders would get a break by not having to pay for preseason games they are sending over there.
