Phillys Mock 2.0

Gonna open this mock with a trade with Atlanta. Atalnta trades up to the No.1 surrending the 2014 6th, 37th, and 2015.

1(6) Khalil Mack LB Buffalo - Has a not stop motor and is very tough to block, which is the kind of player you want next to Watt. IMO he is a safer pick than Clowney and I see alot of Lawrence Taylor in him. Only real knock on this kid is the competition he faced in college.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8cifq0S0yI

2(33) Jimmy Garoppolo QB E.Illinois - With the "Big 3" gone and Derek Carr going to the Browns at 26, the Texans pull the trigger on Jimmy. Will need time to adjust to a pro-style offense.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBoj4bQCaQs

2(37) Morgan Moses OT UV - (Gonna project Quessnberry playing LG). Texans draft the 325 big man to anchor the right side of the OL. Plays with a "mean streak" which is just what the OL needs. Also has nice long arms to move charging defenders.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vBjZUDYSw0

3(65)DaQuan Jones DE PSU - I vision Jones taking the RE spot in RAC defense and pushing inside next to JJ on passing downs. Led the Big 10 in tackles by an interior lineman. He did line up as an end on three man fronts. Good first step quickness

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FULyLybvDOA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBCuDvxd5lI

4(101)Jordan Zumwalt LB UCLA - The 6'4 231 LB played more outside at UCLA, but i feel this kid can line up right next to Cush. He is aggressive with great reaction. Can also play ST.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OafEep34x_Q

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w611j4vXtpk

4(135)Brandon Coleman WR Rutgers - Every year I select one guy from my area, this is him. 6'5 220, yes 6'5. Could of used another year at Rutgers, but with the proper coaches, this kids potential and ceiling is VERY high in my eyes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5TRgqXdqa0

5(141)Andrew Jackson ILB WKU - anybody who has heard about this kid...KNOWS. Possibly the defensive steal of the draft.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8LhTncS40g

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZQFoR363mw

6(177)Tom Savage QB Pitt- Main reason I chose him is BoB saying the team may draft two QBs. Big sleeper.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqnwiSLXrdI

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSfhpmeRmY0

6(181 from Oak)Kenny Ladler FS Vandy - 91 tkl, 5 int, 5 FF in his final year, can play FS or SS, disciplined and dependable get thrown around with his name alot

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFSp1zmva-A

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EP7d6BHodSs

6(211)James Wilder Jr. RB FSU - Bring in some fresh blood to compete for the back up RB role. Finished with a 6.0 Yds/Car.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5w7YW0hEjo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIX0j0NTLmA

7(216)Beau Allen DT Wisconsin - Main job as a starter was to absorb blockers to free up the LBs. Has the strength to collapse the pocket

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ga7ikvAlutA

Solid draft.

Do you think we need another big body WR?

Think we'll go WR at some stage but expect a small quick guy for the slot.

I think a 6'5 WR is worth a look, especially for the redZone, plus be a good push for Posey and below if not Deandre as well..

I'd like to see Bonnet get a shot at the slot. But I am SO tired of a majority of people thinking Bill wants another Wes Welker

id be pissed if thats all we got from atlanta. we need next years 2 as well or this years 3.BUUUTTT your draft.

mack i like
garappolo, i can live with it. but hope this isnt the pick.
moses. great pick
jones. solid pick
zumwalt-havent heard much about him. gunna say dont like
coleman-same as above
jackson-heard great things, like the pick.
savage-seen his tape, seems like a lot of his plays come off play action. not too impressed, but if lasts this long, i like it

I'm a Clowney guy but with those picks, I'd be happy. Addresses both OL and DL, brings in fresh QBs, and a players with potential...plus an extra pick next year.

Savage was invited to the Green room for the first round and you have him going in the 6th round? Crazy things happen But I dont see Savage lasting past the 3rd-4th rounds.

I agree. Someone will reach for him, but with this draft not to many players stand out more than another

I don't see OLB as priority need as do you and would probably go another direction #6 (including talking to Vikings #8)then select Van Noy #33 and Garoppolo #37.

I mocked Moses but a concern is his blocking down field or continuation on running plays as he often gives up too soon. His weight yo yos & that could be issue as it was for Brooks. Nimble, quick feet but does not redirect well & reminds me a bit of Eric Winston.

Da'Quan Jones, just say no! I watche this guy just stand around too many times if the ball does not come right at him. Good first step as you say but then...Not an effort guy imo.

Jackson: huge fan of his and you should quote what coach Nick Saban said about him--http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2012/09/keep_your_eye_on_western_kentu.html
