Death to Google Ads! Texans Talk Tip Jar! 🍺😎👍
Thanks for your support!

Test

I'd like to take this opportunity to commend you on how stable this place normally is.

I'm a moderator on a board for an author/writing instructor and every time someone sneezes, that thing goes sideways. Only 2 of the moderators have had moderator privileges for the past 4 months. Granted, she's got all sorts of bells and whistles and product funnels and author vs. teacher sorts of things going on but... still... this place is amazingly stable.

Thanks for that.

Oh. Crap. Now I've jinxed it.

:mariopalm:

Seconded.

(hopefully the two compliments cancel each other out and avoids the jinx :D )

did you take "Test2" down?
Got this when I tried to reply

Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator

Some of the longer threads are still acting weird.
Posted on the "Last one to post..." thread and it hasn't shown up yet. TexanRed posted twice in succession and I suspect he thought his first one didn't take.

Damn I was all excited I thought we had a new thread finally...... I thought maybe someone in the draft was named "Test", I was hoping he was some kind of draft sleeper.

Oh well back to off season Saturday chores........

Looks good now. Posts are registering, no database errors.

Edit: Well, maybe not... can't see my last post in TB thread.

Thanks guys. Looks like we are good now.

I've got two threads (The Teddy Bridgewater thread and the Clowney, Then What thread) that aren't registering that I've already read all the posts even though, I've read all the posts. A couple of times, now. So these have gotten stuck in the CP display.

No biggie. Just thought you should know there are still some kinks here and there.

Try mark forums read under quick links.

When I click on the last post in a thread button it does not go to the last post,

And the last post visible in the Clowney thread is still "Watt is power Clowney is speed..."

I only see the subsequent posts when I hit "reply" and scroll down to see them below the reply box. I've marked all read s few times, still same.

Why are the red bars now orange?

Hook em bleeds orange.

He plans on slightly changing the pigment towards orange until we don't notice.

He wasn't planning on your super powered MJ smoking senses catching him.

Yep. This is happening for me, now, too.

It says that Powda posted something a minute a go but it won't show me the post and it won't show the thread as read, anymore.

Yup. Forum home page shows it...trying to link it does not. Shame to because if it doesn't work i'll probably be to lazy to post it again.

In Texans Talk sub-forum, I have to go down to Andre Johnson believes... topic to encounter the problem.

In NFL sub-forum, have to go down to Kaepernick thread before it shows me as last poster but "Pitbull 56" is actual last post.

Strange... http://www.texanstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2325231#post2325231

My last post in the TB thread does not show when viewing the above "last post" link -- shows TK's post is #2400 in the thread.

But if I hit reply I can see my post & djohn's and TK's "I forgot" posts, which are all hidden in normal thread view...?

On the home page I can see that I last posted in the Clowney then what thread. If I click on the reply option I can scroll down and see my post. However going to the last post from the homepage will not show my post. I've posted a lot today and this is the only instance in which I've seen a problem. I'm guessing a server somewhere needs to be restarted?

The Teddy Bridgewater thread is back to having issues again, too.

I suspect some threads got corrupted. The link between the last post before whatever happened and the next post in the thread was probably not saved and so there are "unread" posts in the thread that aren't showing up because they never got promoted to the last post in the thread.

There were probably posts made while things were being put back together and those were the bad-guys.

Um.

I don't know how comfy you feel with someone taking a look at the tables, but I've dabbled with these phpbb databases a couple of times. Mostly doing conversions to other software, though. I might be able to write a routine to identify and fix the bad links, however.

PM me if you need a hand.

what is this "unsubscribed" think of which you speak??

When you go to your "user cp" you should see a list of threads you subscribe to (if you set up your subscriptions). Under the main title of each thread, there's a link that allows you to "unsubscribe"

Alternatively at the top of each thread, to the right, under "thread tools" you can also elect to "unsubscribe" from a thread.

I went to my user cp a long time ago, clicked "edit options" then chose to automatically subscribe to threads I reply to. The shortcut I use to navigate to this forum actually points to my user cp. As soon as I come here, I see the threads I participated in with new content. I generally go through these before I hit the new post button.

Just had the same problem where I posted, it says I posted, but when I go to the last page, it's not there.

My thread on "Six Hundred and Sixty Six ways to love your sheep" in the Religious Forum seems to be corrupted.

Kevin, all joking aside, is there something you need help with??

Let me know. I'm sure I can help out where needed!

Yeah, I just saw where on the Rockets thread when you click the last page it doesn't take you there.

The initial problem was some tables crashed and my server guys repaired them. I assume we probably need to run some sort of repair/optimize feature within the vBulletin admin area.

My issue right now is I am slammed with work and don't have time to deal with a major issue. I don't want to do anything right now that will cause a major problem because I don't have the time or resources to commit to it right now.

If anyone here is real familiar with vBulletin and has some ideas let me know. I think the issue is that some threads are still corrupted.

I will have my server guys look into it again, maybe they can fix it however this could be out of their "pay grade".
