Pro Bowl 2014

Luck looks crappy so far. His TD pass was lucky; it was a bad throw and a bad decision into double coverage and DeSean Jackson saved his ass by making a big play.

I got to admit.. Ever since the commish told these players to give effort or he was going to can the game.. these players are giving effort. It's not a track meet and there's actually defense.. only 7 points scored in the 1st qrtr so far.

Yeah, like that hit on Jamaal Charles from a teammate. Ouch.

Yeah, the teammate vs. teammate actually makes this thing more exciting. Derrick Johnson delivered a helmet to helmet hit on Jamaal Charles and the Browns T.J. Ward had a nice hit on Josh Gordon.

J.J. Watt is a beast! Just got a sack-fumble...

Yeah, it actually looks like a real football game for a change.

Watt is a man amongst boys (who are pro bowlers).. He may not be racking up the stat column, but he's been a game changer for his team. Great player and future HOFer if he stays healthy.

And a scoreless qrter.. This is actually a real football game, I'm shocked. This is by far the best pro bowl I've seen.

Best pro bowl game ever.. They still need to do away with the game, because nobody wants to see a elite player risk going down with injury in a exhibition game that doesn't mean anything.. but if they're going to play it, I hope they play it like this. That was a legit football game. Good job, the players actually looked like they were having fun out there and were actually playing just for the love of the game.

P.S.

How in the hell did Derek Johnson beat out Watt for DPOTG?

I actually agree with this. When I first heard the Pro Bowl was going the whole x-players picking teams route I thought it was going to be a joke. The NHL started doing this and I thought that was a joke. However with the NFL it works better.

It was cool how Sanders went pass rush first. That D-Line was sick. JJ Watt, Mario Williams, Gerald McCoy and Ndamukong Suh.

As everyone here has mentioned it looked like a real game. I think the new format makes the player go at it harder for pride sake.

Hah! It's Monday morning and this reminds me that this was on this weekend. LOL. So did the team Watt was on win?

Wait...it's Jimmy! What...What's he doing? (gasp) He's...he's cracking CORN! Saw bits and pieces of the game. No one was trying to kill anyone and it just looked like they were having fun which is what the pro bowl is supposed to be about. It was nice seeing these guys revel in the fact that they're lucky enough to play the sport they love for a living. After that last play guys were on the field laughing and hugging. The pro-bowl is about sportsmanship I don't think even the participants care who wins.
