Kiss My Ass

Thorn

Dirty Old Man
Two years we win the division. Now we suck. This is a collapse of immense proportions. WTF? How on earth does a team with this much talent become the laughing stock of the NFL?

Yeah, injuries. Yeah, Schaub sucks. Whatever. There is no frigging reason we should be this bad. None.

This is ridiculous.

Agree with you fully, but there is no way any part of me approaches your rear end, sir.

I think at this point, 2-10 before tonight, it's more than just injuries, Schaub's collapse, etc. It's frustration, which leads to lack of discipline, which leads to penalties. Also, looks like Case has his own limitations that are too much for this team. It's conceivable that we'd be 4-8, 5-7, maybe even better with Schaub. But I think it was worth getting to see what Case has.

Basically, too many things going wrong all at once.

Rep. Not for the sentiment which I agree with fully , but for the thread title. It opitimizes fan support perfectly. Mods, let it ride.

Well it is what it is, we all wanted a winning team, we flew high for 2 seasons as we were very competitive and dominated much of our competition. This city is cursed. In 2011 i believe if Schaub hadnt gotten hurt we would of won the Superbowl, that was by far our best team.

I can blame the team and kubiak all i want, but i blame the city. Damn you houston and your curse on Pro Sports.

This has been an under-achieving, excuse driven team for almost every year of Kubiak's reign. This is just an extreme example of what we have watched for years. At least people have finally noticed the Texans aren't all buttercups and roses.

This clinched laughing stock dumpster heap of the nfl. Screw these coaches. Burn it up. I'll take an interm coach at this point. I've reached my breaking point. Here on out needs to be an evaluation phase for next season. That ofcourse conflicts with the current coaching staff. 11 in a row . ****ing 11! Dismantle this bull**** here and now.

That was my sentiment at 2-6. At this point, I'm just numb..

McNair does not care

He does not want to win

He wants to make money and keep good people on the payroll

All the wishy washy fans should stay home and leave reliant empty.....l

Because the people Rick extended got hurt some injuries were season ending. No depth reflects badly on Rick/Gary.

Gary is lost

The team sees the writing on the wall. Hopefully BoB can read the writing as well.

Repped

This is what I've been saying since after the 9-7 2009 season.

3/5th's of our oline is a joke.
our qb situation is a joke.
our ST is a joke.

The current talent level on the team is diminished compared to what we had last year and especially two years ago. Not just the key free agents lost but all of the injuries. Hopefully we can replenish the overall talent on the team with some great draft picks in the 2014 draft. Picking first overall in every round will certainly help. Looking back at the 2006 draft we netted a lot of talented players. Hopefully we can have an encore performance. We better not strike out like the 2002 draft.

On the bright side the Texans are the best at something this season, even if it is loosing. :mcnugget: I can't believe I thought this bag of ****** team would be a contender for the superbowl this season.

FA losses , FA signing blunders , injuries and the biggest reason of all , poor QB play.

Just look at how poorly Green Bay is playing without their MVP Quarterback - Either you have one or you don't. If you have one you can cover up a lot of other issues if you don't they all become glaring problems.

We don't have an NFL Quarterback , we have a couple guy's masquerading as quarterbacks.

I couldn't see all the game because I'm running around for an event I'm putting together for tomorrow.

But…

I made it home for a few minutes and turned the game on. MJD broke off his huge run and then the Jags ran the trick play for a TD.

I turned the game back off and continued with the stuff I had to get done for tomorrow.

My Facebook and e-mail is blowing up with people wondering what the hell happened. They aren't even Texan fans and they expected a hell of a lot more from this team.

Just a completely pathetic display of football. How do you hang with the Pats one week and then get beat by the Jags twice? Game plan? Coaching? Lack of caring? I don't know but this has to end at some point.

I'm just glad I don't have to suffer through all the interviews on local tv. That has to be painful to see week in and week out.

To a certain extent the team just seems snakebitten. Really weird, crippling injuries, absolute bad luck, etc. That's the 7th game in a row where we've lost by less than a touchdown, 8th total when you consider the Seahawks game.

At this point being swept by a pumped-up Jags team doesn't surprise me; I'm just riding out the wave and seeing where it takes the team draft-wise.

This is the nfl where very few teams are blown out. That 7 pts or less is meaningless. The texans last yr got roasted when they lost. Tbh, they should've lost to the jags and lions last yr. This season, I watched 1 game,vs seattle where I thought they should've won. Poorly coached, excuse driven team from the owner down. Remember the owner saying,we don't need manning,we got matt schaub? Well,he can have him. This is the worse team in the nfl.

I'm wondering when McNair will address the fans. I feel like he owes us an apology, and for the season ticket holders, a refund.

Yea, arent we past the whole kiss my ass part?

Im rooting for #1 pick at this point. Great job last night Texans!!

I'm going to continue to root for them to win AND get the number 1 pick. However the first pick in the draft is much more realistic.

Beard, beard, beard, beardy, beard, beard, beard.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand that's about all I have to say about that.

I hope he enjoyed building the laughing stock team of the year. The lack of leadership is astonishing. Nobody even knows who's in charge with Kubiak having more power than Rick Smith. I'm not even sure what Rick Smith does and I've followed this team from before it was named.

We have a decent little core of talented players, that's it. I still think the "talent" on this team is vastly overrated by the fans and media. Admittedly, I was one of them. You see 1-2 of those core players go down...BOOM, we suck.

Very overrated....proven on the field to be exact. Time to give this team the full enema, top down.

Come on Aggies let's see you create , here's your competition . :voodoo:

At this point I think the Texans have JJ , AJ , Cushing ( I know he's hurt ) , and Brown as guys who you can build with .

I think Brooks has a future , Hopkins , Graham , Swearinger , and the forgotten #11 have a chance . That's it ... IMO ... that you have going forward . The rest are to old or overrated .

The 49ers have 31 players who make a million a year or more . The Texans have 16 and that's the rest of the story .

I wish I could pos rep you but I can't. I have been around since the LA Times expansion message board back in 1999. Remember rpongett who was a Houston poster who went to the NFL owner's meeting back in 1999.

If by "little core" you mean about 6 players, I agree. AJ, Watt, Brown, Cushing, and maybe the two rookies are all that I'd miss if they pulled in 53 new guys next year.

I don't think the players are that bad. It's the coaches inability to put players in position to make plays.
I know people don't like Belicheck around here but he's a good example of a coach that can take mediocre players and find their strengths. He almost made the playoffs with Matt Cassel when Brady went down.

Do people have short term memory loss on here? We have been discussing this topics the past 10 games. I'm over this season and just ready for coaching changes and the draft .

Sharper in position, Jackson in position...no edge rush. Make shift Oline on the right side...A Smith mailed it in and quit, no decent TE on the roster after Daniels on a team that is designed to use two te's....yeah, we are that bad

Yup! Watt and Cush are my only D players. AJ and DB are my only O players

D-Hop, KJ, Posie, B. Brooks are on the bubble.

I don't mention Myers because I don't think he fits a power scheme, which is what I want.

I like Quess' potential, but am wary of him in a power scheme as well

Wade Phillips has a history of exactly what has happened. He comes in and the D is on fire the first year, and then by year 3 or so they get torched. It's kind of a weird phenomenon with him.

But in the modern era, you either have a QB or your don't. This team doesn't ergo, your going to be a loser. It's all relative but if you aren't going to the dance, you might as well suck hard if there is a chance at a star QB. Just ask the Colts about that.

I think there is a bit more talent than is being described. I just think they have taken out a big ole can of quit. This team has quit on it's coaching staff. They no longer care. I think a new staff coupled with an exciting young QB in Bridegewater could have us right back in contention no later than 2015. This doesn't have to be a 5 yr rebuild. Only in Bob McNair's fantasy world does it take that long to rebuild. Even Jobe would have fired Kubiak before now.

As an aside, Rick Smith doesn't escape liability either. After all, he is the personnel man. So, which is it Bob? Bad personnel, bad coaching, or both? All I know is this draft sucked, and Rick needs to be held accountable.

And that is a huge problem and it start at the very top of the organization. I think Bob wants to win - I just think he is clueless as to how. He has confused loyalty with continuity. He has confused empty and ultimately meaningless gestures for real accountability.

Now as to kissing Thorn's ass, I think I'll pass. :yikes: :panic: :backsout:
