Have Matt Schaub run the offense from within the confines of the 20-yard lines. Bring in Case Keenum for 20-yard line to goal line plays.

I know it sounds laughable, but it could work.

Any Takers?

I honestly thought Kubiak was going to put Case back in during that time-out just before that last play. After Matt had 10 opportunities & all we got was 2 field goals out of it.

How many points and/or first downs has Keenum produced in the 2nd half in the 3 games preceding his "benching"?

Shows that we need a new offense.

LZ did research that found that since Kubiak has been the HC, the Texans have scored 6 points or less in a half 70% OF THE TIME! (or something like that)

A TD against Arizona in the fourth and should have been more points against the colts and a game winning field goal...but the kicker missed all the kicks.

I think what's being ignored is that we've atleast been in every game with a legit shot to win with case starting. Almost every game is coming down to the last drive.

That's more fun to watch that what we previously saw.
 
Maybe we should try running the Wildcat with Jon Weeks? Have Lechler next to him for an option look?

I believe it. There is just always a good half and a bad half.

I think that has been a problem for the Texans well before Keenum took the field. 2nd half failures have been occurring since the last half of last season. This season is just full of a lot more combined first and second half failures.

We've been leading at halftime in 4 games during our 8-game losing streak.

We've outscored the opposing team in the 2nd half only once during that 8-game losing streak, when we outscored KC 6-3.
 
OUr lack of second half performance seems to be more of a coaching problem than anything. We are running the same plays in the 2nd half and making no adjustments. Teams are also blitzing and we run 7 step drops.

Schaub moved the ball because the Raiders realized that he wasn't going to throw more than 10 yards downfield so they just dropped 8 in coverage. The O line was just as porous with Schaub, the Raiders just chose not to blitz as much
