Reeves not available to media.

That's good though - now we can all post our conclusions about what he's doing judging by the clothes he wears to news conference and other circumstantial evidence. This will really keep the board hopping!

Quoted from John McClain's article in today's chronicle... "Reeves is not being made available to the media." It seems that this organization has a lot of communication problems internally and externally.

McNair probably thinks there is enough speculation going on without adding fuel to the proverbial fire. Since Reeves is a consultant, it doesn't really matter what he thinks - it is McNair's job to take what Reeves says and make his decisions accordingly. Nothing would be served by having Reeves speak to the media now. Reeves may not be telling the media what he thinks; he may not even be telling Capers, Casserly, or the players; but we can all rest assured he is telling McNair which is as it should be given the job description.

McClains just still POed that he was blindsided by the Reeves thing and is just p$ssing and moaning.

To be honest, I don't know who is trying to make something out of nothing more . . John McClain or the wonger needs food.

I'm just making an observation. Why is this organization always trying to hide things internally and externally? McNair wasn't told that Buchanon is afraid to tackle. Capers and Casserly weren't told about about Reeves' hiring until the day of. Players are released for speaking up. We were told that moves would be made to shore up the offensive line... and the beat goes on da da dum da dum da da.

Personally, I would do the same thing. I brought Reeves in to do a job. I expect his total focus to be on that job without any outside interruptions, especially media. The only reason fans or writers would be upset by this is because it doesn't satisfy their curiosity and they have nothing negative to make out of nothing other than the fact that he's not available to the media.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander....or whatever. :) Maybe we should all just shut up and stop telling them what we think about it all. That's how we can PUNISH them. :)

Now, everyone needs to leave Houston. That will really convince them there's something wrong with the Texans.....

The reason I think it will be post Super-Bowl is because it's a respect thing. That's just my opinion though.

I've already heard the term "Black Monday" being bandied about in regards to January 2. We'll see. A lame duck coach has to work on his own motivation getting ready for games - I don't think he'd be very driven after the season is over.

Once the regular season ends several coaching staffs will get fired - happens every year.

I think that Dan Reeves should give a daily 15 minute press conference on his findings. Airing out the team's dirty laundry is the professional way to handle an already tense situation.

No, that should be the responsibility of the consultant the Web posters of this board have hired. Go back to Herv's post. We just need to know how much the guy or gal is going to cost and make certain they get in the loop. Our consultant seems to be a little late for the show.

You do know my previous post was :sarcasm:

Reeves job description is to make this team better, not cater to the needs of web-posters. McNair can handle those duties if he wants. Besides, everything you may or may not want to know will come out later after the season.

Think I am losing my touch or you guys are...well, let me leave that alone. I would think the 2nd sentence would render the first sentence as the throw away comment that it is.

This is making a mountain out of a molehill.

Move along, folks, nothing here to see.... :D

Let me guess: Big Montana with a side of Zocor?

Reeves is essentially a subcontractor. He is not a spokesperson for the organization. Why should the Texans allow media access to him? Rhetorical question.
