Should be a crazy weekend up in Detroit, added that Lions fans have said that they would wear Bengals colors at the game too:

PARTICIPATE IN THE ANGRY FAN MARCH!
WDFN salutes angry Lions fans and your freedom of speech. Detroit and WDFN love the Lions but we need change. We want a winner. We're mad and sick and tired of losing. If Lions fans want to express their feelings, WDFN has some options!

Watch for the winning listener billboard to go up by Saturday, December 17th, off I-75 and Gratiot, by Eastern Market. WDFN thanks everybody for their creative responses to the Lions woes and congratulates Tim Latimer of Farmington for the main billboard slogan NOT THIS MILLENIUM and many WDFN listeners who submitted REBUILDING SINCE '57.

If you want to show your feelings in a different way, join Sean Baligian in the Angry Fan March before the Lions game. Come down to the Hub on Broadway by Ford Field around 1pm to prepare for the March. Dress up, make signs, come up with some creative chants but don't be nasty and obscene. The Angry Fan March will start at 2pm. Show the Lions that you want a winner! We want a calm and fun protest that Detroit can be proud of!

If you buy a ticket and go to the game, you still please the owner.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Fans, the owners could care less about your opinions. As long as you are shelling out the cash then the owners are happy. Rebuilding since '57? You're still spending the bucks after being hosed for almost 50 years? To me it just shows what a lock of life they have to put so much time into trying to aggravate someone who could care less.

As long as you're paying the dollars nothing will change.

Plust think of the free advertisement you are giving the team. No advertisement is bad advertisement. When you start doing things like getting attention from ESPN and national broadcast for wearing the other teams colors, you are still hooking up this owner with some free of charge advertisement for a bad product, and yet you are still shelling out the cash to be there at the game. Why fix something if you're getting rich off it?

Ultimately it comes down to individual owners and their comittment to building a winning franchise.

If fans protested by no longer supporting the product, many owners would just pack the team's bags and head elsewhere.

The Lions fans are still in the angry stage.
The team is right back where it started with Matt Millen, and it has absolutely no shot the next 5 years if he sticks around.

This is a last ditch effort to get him the hell out of Dodge...or Ford...whatever.

If Millen is back in 2006, That is where the apathy sets in.
If Millen is still around in the draft, pray for Vince Young, because he would be coming to this hell hole of a city for a doomed career. If Millen stays gets a new QB and a New coach, therefore, another 3 years atleast.

The Fans aren't stupid, We would very much like to support our crappy team, just as long as there is some kind of hope one day it will get better.
Millen rapes that optimism.

If he is around in 06 - 07, Ticket Sales will drop. This is warning to William Clay Ford. Either change, or we're changing.

I've never thought people that buy Lions tickers are that bright anyway. Atleast in the Barry days you had a reason.
Alot of these people just don't know any better. What this protest will hurt for sure is the lux box casual ninny fans who only good if the team is going to be good. And that un cappable income hits Ford right in his pockets.

Also understand, 80% of the fanbase is season ticket. They've already paid in full ahead of time to see these crappy games. They feel like they've been hoodwinked. They already paid for this Cincy game, otherwise, people might very well not be going to this game.

Buying Season Tickets this year ensure a shot at the superbowl seat lottery. The Lions hyped up the team, front office was talking playoffs. Fooled everyone really well. I compare it to the Dolphins not annoucing the retirement of Ricky Williams until the day after Season Tickets went on sale. When they knew ahead of time.

I totally dissagree.
Ask the Vikings ower if he is happy about the FREE press his team got regarding the "Party Boat" incident.
You think the Eagles like all the T.O. press? um NO.

The last thing the Lions owner wants is this kind of press. Their team being known for losing is not very fun.

Um do you think Mr. Ford and the Ford Motor Company who have invested a lot of money in that team want to be known for Losing? I don't think so.

If you want to protest:
I say go to the game. If you don't you are mainly hurting the Team and the reputation of your city's fans.
DON'T BUY ANY CONCESSIONS!!!! DON'T BUY ANY MERCHANDISE!!! That hurts the owners.

Plus keep in mind. Many of the owners are not in the NFL just to make money. They already have more money than they know what to do with. If they wanted to make money there are tons of things they could invest in that would yeild a higher return.

They own these teams for other reasons, like...to feed their competitive fires, to feed their egos, to become famous, and because they like football. Trust me they ALL want to win and don't go to bed saying "man my team sucks, but it is profitable so I am not changing a thing.".

I agree with you, but if I had to pick one owner who you could possibly make a case for not being in it for winning or the fans, it would be the Saints Tom Benson. That guy is the leagues worst owner. In a year where his city is absolutely devestated he tries to use it to his benifet to move the team, absolutely classless.

So what is Millens fault? Drafting exciting players that dont live up to their names? Not helping the O-line (like here) or is it a weak defense??

What is it with Millen and the hatred?
