Who would you cut, who would be safe?

Been a fan since Day 1 and a lurking around this site since I found it. I have finally reached the point where I can't stand not commenting. So here goes with my ideas about who gets cut and who is safe - all others fight it out for a slot. I'm not a Salary Cap wonk, so my list pretty much ignore it. I look forward to your thoughts.

Coaches gone: Marciano, Dennison and the secondary coach. All others on a 1 year leash (produce or get let loose)

A team can't turn over too much of its roster and expect to improve. This team didn't go from 12-4 to 2-7 because of the players. Yeah, some players need to go, but this fall from grace is 90% on Kubiak and his staff.

Schaub, Ed Reed, Bullock, and Newton should be cut.
Joseph and Manning could be possibilities because of health, but it's not like we have a lot of good depth in the secondary. We have been atrocious at finding talent and developing it.

Tate won't be re-signed unless he signs cheap.

Antonio Smith is going to be a free agent, but I think he stays. He's not the problem and can still be productive. A lot will depend on if he is willing to take a pay cut, though.

Cut

Schaub
Wade smith
Derek newton
Ed reed
Danneille manning
Jonathon Joseph
Daryl sharpton

Rdndy bullock

Fire coaches and possibly gm

Foster is not safe yall are just like the FO sticking to long to NAME players Foster is a BUM NOW

I think the following players will be gone next year.
Schaub
Wade Smith
Derek Newton
Ed Reed
Danneille Manning
Jonathon Joseph
Daryl Sharpton
Owen Daniels

Depending on if the new staff runs a 3-4 or 4-3 maybe the ninja might be gone also. This is assuming that the Texans get rid of this joke of a staff.

Agreed minus JoJo, they dont have enough CB's now. I dont want to go thru another KJ OJT session.

I think the Texans have a handful of obvious keepers, a double handful of obvious cuts, and a bunch of players that may or may not be good fits for a new coach.

I think the team needs to replace the front office and coaches, and let them sort out the players. If there is no regime change, shuffling players isn't going to make much difference

This thread should make some interesting reading though.
