I get the feeling you might see him get 6-7 returns...they aren't going to be punts either.

If he's gonna get a TD, this would be a good week. Arizona is last in stopping the kick returner, allowing 30 yards a kickoff return, and last in allowing TD's, the only team to allow more than 1 (they've given up 3 special teams TDs)

Arizona’s kickoff coverage unit is the worst in the league, allowing opponents 30.2 yards per return, while they allow 8.1 yards per punt return (17th). In total, the unit has allowed seven returns for touchdowns this season

I hope he takes it back to the one, but doesn't score...then I want us to go 4 and out failing to score! That would fit into the plan...
 
No way he can take it to the one and not score, no one can catch him from behind, and if they come at an angle he'll fall in.
 
It would be cool to have him in the pro bowl. At least we would win the fastest man competition this year, unlike last year when we came in second :(

Mathis would SMOKE people, but AJ and CJ surprised me last year, I didnt think either was THAT fast. Mathis will get to prove he is the fastest man if he is voted in by the coaches.

So now it's just a question of time before the paranoid Houstonians start talking about how the NFL's hatred of Houston will stop Mathis from going to the pro-bowl ? :)

I'll start, the NFL hates the Houston franchise and that will prevent Mathis from going to the pro bowl.
 
Lets hope he doesnt run backwards again, and get tackled on the 5 yard line.

Other than that, he is a great kick returner.

What a load of manuer. Hall didn't put up those #s. This is a popularity contest not a production thing. The NFL hates us. Just watch, Peek is going to get a roughing the passer penalty while Payne gets a holding penalty. Meanwhile, Carr is going to be hit in the head with a forearm while getting sacked because he was waiting for the WR to get open but couldn't because Mathis was hugging AJ and the refs are going to act as if nothing happened.

Oh and by the way they won't be showing the game in Austin because of the NFL's hatred of us.
 
From 4th round nobody, to Pro Bowl player. Congrats Jerome, thanks for representing us and make us prouder than you already have.

It took me this long to find out because I was watching the stupid ESPN Pro Bowl show instead of just looking it up on NFL.com.

Casserly has been pretty good at pulling good talent out late in the draft the problem with his selections are they are either bang or bust. He gets killed in the 2nd and 3rd rounds
 
Awesome. A co-worker of mine had me upset that the Texans would not be represented in the pro-bowl. I was happy when ESPN 790 AM said otherwise. It sucks that the season went the way it did. I think D-Rob, AJ, and maybe even DD would have made it. But that's wishful thinking. Maybe next year.

Congrats to Mathis. Go out there and represent!!!
