What no one is talking about.....

Meyers had some low snaps, but it's not a big issue. All centers have some low snaps. As long as it's catchable/not rolling on the ground or above the qb's head it's a fine snap.

Myers has had some problems this season. Schaub's problems are not on that though. We've got too many problems that are higher priority than Myers's poor snaps

Most likely his snaps were low because he was rushing to get the ball out because the Niner defense was pounding him. He wanted to get a jump on them....

But low, high, on the money, it make no difference when Matty Pick 6 is the QB...

Wtf is up with all of Myers' low snaps. Can he snap the ball a little higher, I always see the QB have to reach low for the ball

Some of you may remember that I posted that Meyers was listed with a "biceps" on the Injury Report.........and I specifically commented that this was a bad injury for a centers...........this is what I meant!

Stop being a prick. He didn't mention Schaub and he is 100% correct that Myers had a horrible evening on snaps.

I hit him with the hammer ..... not often I do that but that dude doesn't know his a$$ from a hole in the ground and has been annoying from his first post.

That's not the point. We're not blaming Myers for anything. It was something that was noticed, and Icak is right because Myers did not snap well this evening.

I know dude, I was referring to what Kubiak said at half time about not having a QB problem but a defensive problem....

like I stated, Meyers was probably trying to snap the ball faster and was rushing the snaps due to the Niners defense pounding him up the middle, (That's what she said!)

I did see that so what are u saying lets fire our entire Offenive

BYE MATT BYE ANDRE ....JOHNSON bye myers OD and foster and WADE can them ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!

and make WADE Phillips our HC

I'm pretty sure in the team meeting & all the OL meetings he kept hearing how everybody has to help Matt not throw interceptions. He was just trying to do his part. Not his fault we actually found something Matt can do well.

If only we can find a way for catching low snaps to win us a game.

this was already mentioned by nfl analysts years ago. i forgot who pointed it out but it was talked about how schaub had to bend down so low to get the ball.

nevertheless,

this really doesnt need to be talked about because its not really a big problem. Its not really hurting the club the way other things are.

I think Ben Jones played pretty well. Wade Smith showed a little life, but not enough.

Obviously someone thought it was worth discussing ... if you don't agree , just don't read / post in the thread.

Yes, I remember more than one TV guys talking about the way Myers snap the ball. That's just the way he does it (even though some snaps might be a little lower; and some certainly can be higher than usual.)

Without concentrating on the snaps when I rewatch the game, I really have no idea if there was much of a problem tonight or not.

IBleedTexans obviously had a question and it's a relevant one, it's an open forum and he's allowed to do that. No one is blaming Myers for the team loss tonight and their can be more than one problem with the team at the same time, just as there's allowed to be more than one thread going on at a time. If you don't like his question read another thread.

pointing out the bad snaps doesnt have to translate to another position or excuse others, it's an issue of it's own. most of myer's shotgun snaps today were on the ground and it's something that needs to be addressed. whether it's a physical issue like doc suggests, or lack of focus, this is yet something else that needs to be worked on.

What no one is taking about... is our defense. I don't know where they'll rank next week but if they stay at #1, they're probably are the worst #1 rank defense in the history of the league. Even if Schaub didn't throw any interception tonight we would have a hard time winning because of our D. It seems like every time a team convert on 3rd down our d gets weaker and weaker. And if they get to our redzone it's like a layup for the opposing offense to score TD. Our redzone defense is just as disturbing as our starting QB.

Our offense gave them a short field on 3 turn overs, Schaub gave them an automatic 7. Our o pretty much handed them 2 TDs and 2 FGs or 20 points. We held them under 280 yards on offense, and like 17 first downs. Pretty sure that our D was put in a terrible position all night long, and blaming them is a scape goat. The same scape goat Kubes is using none the less.

Not to mention we scored a whopping 3 points, pretty sure we wouldnt of won a 3-0 game with all the ints that were being thrown.

Just bc they had a short field to work with doesn't mean TD should become any easier for the opposing offense. If anything their redzone defense should be better since they're fresh and not taxed out from a long drive.

I dont know what you guys expect, we scored 3 points on offense, Does it matter what the defnese does if we score 3 points on offense and our offense gives them 7 points right out of the gate.

We had 3 possesions in the 1st quarter they had 1

We beat them by 2 possesions and we walk away with 3 points ? This is hardly the defenses fault.

It's not about assessing fault. It's about the defense playing well. Two of those turnovers were on the 49ers 30. One the defense did well & not gave up a score. the other, they gave up a single play for 64 yards & a TD. Can't blame the offense for that.

That needs to be fixed.

Anytime the opponent starts around their own 30 or closer to the end zone, we should expect our #1 defense to not surrender any points.

Schaub single handedly lost this game. The defense has their own problems to address. Both can & do exist.

OK. Add drafting a new center to our list of things to do, right after firing Kubiak and all the coaches and sending Schaub to the Cowboys for multiple 7th round picks.
