The "Ed Reed Watch"

Ed was pretty invisible last week vs his old team, even sitting on the sidelines in the 2nd half.

What do you expect to see this week? I am sure he will play more but the kid Keo has played pretty well.

Money well spent in your opinion?

You're not going to get far in this forum by complimenting Keo. Haha... He may be the 2nd most hated player around here after Schaub.

Reed was invisible last weekend, but I'm hoping it was just rust. We won't know if Reed was worth the money until the end of the season. He was signed to help us beat the elite QB's and to get over that hump. Anything else is gravy.

Ed played 75% of the game last week and he stated himself they didn't throw to his side of the field. Troll harder or Ill start posting pics of Ray talking about being a murderer again

Asking a question is 'trolling'? I guess everyone is guilty of it then.

And I could care less about Ray Lewis- he is on ESPN, not the Ravens.

Which "elite QB's"? In many peoples book he is now 0-1 in that department.

Keo played well- he's not Ed Reed in his prime but he played well. What is so hard to admit about that? Manning played well also.

We're mainly talking Brady & Peyton. In order to get to the Super Bowl in the AFC, you have to get passed those two teams. We obviously had no answer for Brady last season, while the Ravens did, so we're hoping Reed will be the answer for us.

Reed is "0-1" against elite QB's this year? OK, I won't get into whether Flacco is elite... but you have to admit we played well against the Ravens offense. Our defense didn't lose that game.

I agree with you that Keo played well. He is MUCH improved this season. I'm just telling you that Keo isn't well liked around here.

No they didn't but ER didn't put them over the top either. ravens offense is underwhelming compared to last year due to injury and salary cap decisions.

Fair enough- I don't hate anyone and don't approach viewing the players in a personal manner. I can judge them without emotion that way. Some people refuse to give credit due when it is due.

Well it was his first game back from surgery, he even hasn't had much practice time. So I wouldn't be quick to judge the acquisition from this one game. Like I said, we won't know if this acquisition is good until the end of the season. If he can somehow get us over the hump of advancing further in the playoffs, the he'll be worth every penny.

I agree. Keo has been horrible the past two seasons and a lot of us don't understand why the coaching staff keeps giving him chances. But I admit, he's looked a lot better this season and that patience on the coaching staff may be paying off.

As testament to his invisibility, Reed played quite a bit in the second half.

imo, we won't know if Reed was money well spent or not until December. Same as Schaub.

not taking up for Reed (I'm an original cynic on this transaction) but if they ain't throwing your way, you are probably dictating this fact with your presence. Teams tend to throw at your weakness, not your strength.

I remain very skeptical. Until they test him, and test him often, I will remain skeptical. At this point, his not being tested can only be based on previous reputation. That phase will only last so long.
