Robert Nkemdiche

Texian

Hall of Fame
Don't know if anybody got to watch Ole Miss vs Vandy this past week but Robert Nkemdiche the 18 yr true freshman for Ole Miss and #1 recruit in the nation looked like a man against boys. It didn't matter where they lined him up on the D Line he showed no problem walking whoever lined up against him straight back to the QB - I know he's only 18 and his first game in college but there were shades of Reggie White.

Just finished watching the first half.
He showed some flashes, but is still very raw.
Won a few individual matchups, lost a few.
Maybe he turns it up in the second half?
But I certainly didn't see a man among boys, Texian.

I saw him line up on the left, right and middle and in most passing situations easily walked his blocker straight back to the QB. Not always but won more than he lost. He will command double teams before long. As a 18 yr old freshman he also made some stupid silly rookie mistakes, several he was out of position and overran to many plays. For an 18 yr old's first game I was impressed. I am looking forward to this 18 yr maturing, getting stronger, learning new moves, using his hands and improving his footwork. He has to get better every year or he could be closer to Amobe Okoye rather than Reggie White.

I finished the game, and I saw it differently.
To be honest, if nobody told me about his status (including the TV guys), I wouldn't have noticed him.
I mean, there were other guys that showed up more on both sides of the ball for both team.
Vandy put up 35 points and over 400 yards, didn't they? With a new QB, no less.

Yes, for a freshman playing his first game, he showed plenty of potential.
You can see that he has a combination of power, quickness, and tenacity.
If he keeps working hard, he has a good chance to reach his potential.
Ole Miss is one of the SEC underdogs that I root for against the big boys, and so I hope he does well.

Now watching the #1 draft pick in the 2016 draft, Robert Nkemdiche, Music City Bowl
