We don't know who the Chargers are, don't know what to plan for. We're probably the favorites, but anything can happen. If we lose week 1, what does that mean to you?

Depends on how they played but if they look bad maybe they changed their strategy to looking bad in the beginning and finish the season strong....:kitten:
 
I think it means we are not being coached well imo. We have the roster and no way should we lose to SD. I would be very PO.

It means we arent prepared and to me we need to focus

we have a tough first part of the season.

But it is one game. One of 19 more to kick ass

First I saw this thread it pissed me off then I saw who created it, thought about ramifications, feel it would be slap in the face, reality check. But don't think Texans will loose in fact expect them to lay some serious wood, a whooping in fact.
 
losing to the lowly Chargers would cause me to travel to the front gates of Reliant Stadium, saturate my self in premium gasoline, and set myself on fire.

Otherwise not a big deal.
 
I voted "depends how we play." But I can tell you that if we don't win this one, it will give me some concern that we haven't broken our long-standing pattern of not consistently beating the teams we should beat.
 
The TT servers become inundated with new threads begging for the dismissal of Kuniak, Marciano, Schaub, Smith and McNair.

if we get blown out I will be concerned

but if we play a tight game all the way to the end it will be whatever


any way tho our goal should be to go 1-0 each week intill we secure that #1 seed

after that we will go from there I also think chargers will be in the Seed race so it could come to haunt us I think the chargers will get 10+ wins this year TBO
 
It depends on how we play. If we're blown out, look bad, suck, it will mean we weren't prepared by the coaching staff again and I'll be pissed and will call for Kubiaks head. If we play great but lose anyway then it won't mean much other than we were beaten by a better team on that day.

I answered "depends" on the poll, because you know damn well if they come out and get manhandled like they did against GB last year, no one will be happy about that. I really wanted to vote Fire Kubiak, but that was just residual Pavlovian conditioning, I think. :D

If we win it will only be threads about the Dismissal of Schaub, who nearly gave the game away with his 2 ints, and getting sacked a total of 6 times. Even though the defense only got to him twice, its a new rule in the NFL, called the schaub tuck. If a QB goes fetile its a sack

Does anyone remember the Wildcat?

When Miami came out with that, it took the whole league by surprise. They went 11-5 that year. I doubt McCoy will do something that far from "traditional" but who knows?

He very well throw something at us that we aren't prepared for.

He was the offensive coordinator for Denver the last 4 years. We're probably studying a lot from those games while doing a little brushing up on San Diego's players.

As long as he is "traditional" in his approach, I think we'll be ok. But Phillip Rivers is far from a bad QB & we're working on issues in our defensive backfield. I'm worried about Jjo & McCain, & we're working in Ed Reed this week....

If Vegas is giving us 3 points in San Diego, on Monday night... I wouldn't say I'm worried, but I'm not confident either.
 
The line is currently Texans -4 to -4.5

Hard to believe given Antonio is out and Reed hasn't earned
1 cent of his paycheck

It means that I'll be disappointed and have questions about this team, but I'll try and keep my mouth shut and see how the season develops...:ohsnap:

No way do the Chargers get 10+ wins. Maybe 10+ losses, but not wins.
 
I may have to find another place on the interwebs to post next week if the Texans lose. This place with be up in smoke. And not the good kind ah smoke.
