Can NFL agents contact college players while they are still playing college ball???

I ask this because I was MySpace-ing, a popular thing to do for young adults, and I wanted to see if Vince Young and Reggie Bush had MySpaces (yeah, I'm a dork) so I searched VY's name and a bunch came up. I clicked on this one though: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cf...=033CD1A9-744F-4BC9-87F9D33832D00101205247265

And was scrolling down the "Comments" section when I found an intresting comment from no other than "Drew Rosenhaus" saying:

"Vince, listen, awesome job Saturday against Baylor. I'd love to set up a time when we can get together in person and discuss your future. I say we enter the draft in 2006 and go from there, I guarantee you a first round pick. Do what Emmitt did, go on with your life now, in the pros where a player of your caliber belongs, and go back to school when you got a couple mil in your back pocket. You wanna make your parents proud? Buy 'em a house. We can do this together. Get back with me, ok?

Drew"

And now the comment underneath that one is from Donovan McNabb but I clicked on the Rosenhaus one and it took me to his MySpace. Usually you can tell a fake because of the lack of info, but unless there is a dork who idolizes Rosenhaus, it looks pretty good. And if you look in his "top 8" he has Marcus Vick, VY (different account from the first one I saw), Reggie Bush and Ray Lewis.

Now I know anyone can make a MySpace under a different name and everything but if it is Rosenhaus, which I doubt, is he going against any rules by talking to Young before the season is over???

They can talk all they want, just cannot sign. You may be thinking of NCAA quiet times for NCAA coaches to talk with HS prospects.

They do have certain guidelines for communication during the season and for players not eligible for the upcoming draft, but I'm not exactly sure what they are, does anyone know and have a link for it?

If that is the case it was recently done in the last couple of years, but I doubt it. The only guideline would be respect to communicate to the coach that you have been talking with their player.

Once again communication guidelines in the past have been for NCAA coaches with HS prospects, not agents with college athletes.

Rest assured, it's not Drew Rosenhaus.

Don't you think Drew would have taken a more....private?? approach when contacting a pro prospect rather than an internet site of 40 mil+ people?? Trust me, people ARE nerdy enough to "roleplay" as him. Myspace has so many roleplayers, its pathetic.

Also...all of Rosenhaus' pics are shots people can get anywhere. He even has his ****ing mugshot in the profile...

Come on Fiddy, you are slippin.

lol, I know. I even said it was really stupid and I doubted it but it was almost 1 last night and I was bored and saw it and thought it was intresting.

I may have given the computer dorks too much credit for not thinking someone would role play him.

And I did get confused with the coaches at HS students...

It wouldn't suprise me if drew would do something like that, if you have read his book you know he will stoop to every low.
