Yep, noticed a Tweet this morning that he actually had a scope done during the time off. We'll see if he'll be able to hit the field right away or not. He might be even further behind if he can't

The only reservation I have about this Draft is that I would have placed a higher priority on an OT, especially since I think a second-round pick for a safety is too much of an investment anyway in that position. But generally speaking I'm pretty optimistic about this Draft and I think we filled virtually all of our needs with promising prospects, though one never knows what kind of a Draft they've really got until 2 or 3 years later.

I know exactly what you mean. However lets look @ Texan history of addressing safety position. Traditionally or at least before Wade they never seemed to value the position, they repeatedly tried late developmental draft picks or moved bigger stronger CB's into safeties, remember the Marcus Coleman experiment? They tried for years to convince everyone that CC Brown a th rd. pick was going to develop into a cornerstone FS. The best safety in franchise history was Glover Quin a converted CB drafted in the 4th rd. Year after year they passed in the draft to address this elusive position. So finally in the Wade Phillip era they went out in the offseason & acquired Danieal Manning, then Mr. Ed Reed. All of a sudden the secondary was transformed but still lacked youth & talent to add depth behind these veteran leaders. Finally the Texans addressed the safety position via the draft with a high pick (consider 1st/2nd rd. high picks).
DJ Swearinger, South Carolina is a true ball hawking, instinctive FS who has the opportunity to fit into ideal situation both coaching/scheme wise as well learning from the best who ever played the position, Ed Reed.
Brennan Williams, OT, North Carolina has the size, feet & strength to develop into a starting LT in the NFL. Transitioning to the right side should be easy for him when healthy. His durability is the only question. Not sure if this has been mentioned but he has NFL DNA as well, his father Brent Brennan played 11 years as a DE for the Patriots, Seahawks & Jets.
David Quessenberry, OT/LG, San Jose State all he needs is to increase his core strength, he will be a starter in the very near future. So I feel the Texans actually graded both OT & Safety positions this offseason as top priorities.
Said it during camp, but I am expecting an IR redshirt for him.
