We are heading into the toughest part of our schedule right now. It's going to be tough, we almost have to run the table now. But I wouldn't want it any other way!!! This year, you have to stand out above all the rest, you have to be able to give up a 21 point first half lead, you have to have horrible drafting in the second and third rounds to reach this point, you have to do all the wrong things...to secure the # 1 pick, to secure....our destiny!!!

How bad do we want Reggie Bush? How bad do we want the potential prize for trading down because of Reggie Bush? How bad do we want it!?!?!? There's only one way to keep our # 1 pick, we gotta run the table. Are you ready to cheer your team on when they need us most Texan fans? I am!!!

I have faith that we can do it. We might get lucky this week and some of the 2-9 teams could win.

Agreed. Winning now doesn't help us one bit. The coaches are gone....winning right now won't save them. I've always said the worst records a team could have are 6-10, 7-9....you definitely won't make the playoffs with that record, and you don't get a very high pick in the draft. 6-10 is just pointless. Having the first pick could help this team tremendously, no matter if we draft Bush, Ferguson, or trade down.
 
Now that I've got a good look at Bush in yesterdays UCLA I can say this about him - he's good, really good. But is he another Barry Sanders, OJ, Earl Campbell, etc. ? I dunno.......how can you make that assesment when he is playing behind what appears to be a very good OL and going against a D
that is of very dubious ability. Is he fast, yea, but give somebody else who's really fast like, oh say Jerome Mathis, the same chances and have him run sweeps around end in that game and he also probably ends up 30 or 40 yards down the field several times.
 
I have this Feeling that if WE The TEXANS FOOTBALL TEAM have first pick Reggie Bush will stay in college. just a feeling...

Why would he not play for us? He's going to a pretty bad team no matter what, seeing as he's most likely going to go #1 if he comes out this year or next. Why not our bad team?

A few reasons
1. Ownership does not seem to know what its doing
2. GM change up
3. Coaching changes. not just head coach.
4. NO O-LINE
5. A QB that the jury is still out on. due to NO O-Line

also what does our cap room look like i really have no idea... He will want a TON..
 
I do hope we end up with the number one pick, but sorry guys I just can't root for my team to lose, I just can't do it. Maybe the other sucky teams step it up a notch and we can all get a few W's and still get the number one pick. I understand the logic, it just goes against my nature.

That being said, if we have any of the same management they will probably screw the 1st round draft pick up anyway! Even if we are overall number one.

Just my opinion.

If the Texans lose the rest of their games then I am willing to bet ESPN shows a clip of that last play against Cleveland. We could literally be a tipped pass from 0-16 by the end of this season.

Yeah but I dont want Reggie Bush, I would rather draft an O-Line. Also, that Lindell White is bigger than Bush and can probably take the NFL hits and play better than Reggie Bush. THink about Caddilac Williams, GREAT FOR 4 GAMES and now nothing.
 
Well guys, we skated by this week. We showed the Ravens we wanted it just a little bit more in that last minute of the game. Now that we got that game out of the way we gotta look away from the 3-9 Titans. We took it to em earlier this year, can we do it again?

Got to wonder what round he is going to go in, he could be one of the top 5 running backs taken.

You expect us to draft an entire offensive line next year? Interesting.

A few reasons

As bad as the line is at pass protection, they're not all that bad at run blocking. If anyone would not want to play for us due to a poor line, it would be Leinart, not Bush.

I would not be shocked at all at drafting him, nor would I be surprised if we traded back for a tackle and a linebacker.
