Per SBNation.com

Houston Texans

Ja'Gared Davis, LB, SMU

Mike Golic Jr., OL, Notre Dame

Ray Graham, RB, Pittsburgh

Travis Howard, CB, Ohio State

Willie Jefferson, OLB, Stephen F. Austin

Justin Tuggle, LB, Kansas State
Well maybe ESPN will give the Texans a little more love now that we got Golic's son!

Edit: Actually maybe the source is no bueno. Golic Jr. reportedly signed with the Steelers...

Getting inside info on Willie Jefferson from my brother right now. I know he is a big tall kid that is a good edge rusher.

Going to my brothers games he certainly stood out. Can rush the passer really well.

My brother says he's a good pass rusher but needs to get stronger. He played WR at Baylor before going to SFA.

I hope we sign Tony Tatum from Gallaudet.

Yeah... a wee bit of bias from me but the kid really is good.

I've watched Graham since he was a Frosh and was pleased to hear we got him. Then noticed he ran a 4.8 at the combine. Hopefully we hit on him like another UDFA that was considered too slow.

Got this from another website....

@ckleincat7: So excited and honored to be given a chance to compete for the Houston Texans! #Godisgood #gotowork

RT @chitribhamilton: #NotreDame RB Cierre Wood tweets that he indeed signed a free agent deal with the #Texans

I can't believe we got Collin Klein. It would be interesting to see him work out.

For the record though, that is 5 QBs on the roster.

That's okay. For the record, besides Duane Brown, we now have 6 tackles.

Andrew Gardner
Ryan Harris
Nick Mondek
Derek Newton
David Quesenberry
Brennen Williams

I mean, how many tackles do you need for depth and development?

Starting right and starting left. Back-up right and back-up left. One for PS?

In camp you need a lot. Plus its possible Ques might be projected at guard.

That would be 3 tackles left over after you factor in the starters and their backups. 7 - 4 = 3. :wadepalm:

Yes. They may have a plan for one or two of them at another position, or just are looking for the best out of the group and will cull out the rest. Never hurts to have many options going into camp.

Newton had major reconstructive knee surgery. He'll miss OTAs & mini camp. Not sure about camp.

This may be correct. Quessenberry can play OT, OG, and OC. That was one of the reasons he was rising up the draft boards. He is probably more suited to play OC and OG and Walter Football had him listed as an OC/OG to go somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd rounds. I'd say we got pretty good value for that pick, especially if he turns out to be a good player.

Klein was brought in to get a feel for him in case Owen decides he want more money later in a few seasons. We'll need another TE/4th string super emergency QB.

Looks like "Fig" has been arrested twice, one for DUI, & kicked off a team.

Texans are loosening up their standards.

seems like it used to take an act of Congress to get the Texans UDFA's right after the draft. This list is huge and it isn't even Sunday yet.

Just watched the rb's we signed and it's gonna be a tough competition between them. They each bring something good to the table. I think Winn is my favorite though, but not by much. I like what I saw from them all.

I'd give it to Cierre Wood right now.
He and Dennis Johnson had faced tougher competitions.
Johnson needs to correct his ball security issue, otherwise, I think it would be Wood as many of us in the Mock Draft forum had talked about.

I like the idea of Colin Klein at TE, he was my 7th round pick is my first mock as a TE. In a year or two he could be really good.

Didn't know much about graham but this from Espn:

Possesses nimble and quick feet along with upper echelon lateral agility. Displays an effective jump cut that covers a lot of ground laterally and can consistently avoid backfield penetration. Has the suddenness and elusiveness as runner to make defenders miss in a confined area. Also can stop-and-start instantly to freeze defenders. Shows a quick short-area burst through the hole and can get to top-end speed quickly out of cuts. Flashes ability to string together multiple cuts when working through traffic. However, can be moving too quick for his own good at times and will lose balance when trying to make a cut at top-end speed on occasion. Lacks an elite extra gear and will struggle to outrun pursuit and hit the home run at the next level.

Sounds a bit like Forsett

I like the guys that I bolded, and really like the fact we signed Johnny Adams. Adams will probably move to SS and reminds me of Glover Quinn.
