El Tejano's Wish List for 2013 NFL Draft

El Tejano

I didn't base it on player ranking because it's obvious some guys might not be there when we pick. I did base it on team need and availability of the player when we pick. I've done this a few times and usually get 3-4 out of the group that we actually pick.

Have to say I'm really high on TJ Barnes from Ga. Tech.

I really want to have a man crush on Barnes, but everytime I put his tape on, I have second thought.

Sixth round on, sure, I'll take him.

Yeh if we are going that route I would rather go with Kwame’s Geathers. He stands out more than Jenkins who is rated way higher. I think Geathers will be the better pro.

Geathers seems to be the safer pick, but Jenkins, man, if that guy can control his weigh like Brandon Brooks, he could be an impact player. For that uncertainty, I would rather not draft him before the third round.

Now if I have the resources that the Texans do such that I can find out about the weigh thingy, I can upgrade him easily.

I just see more athleticism on Barnes. 76, what about his tape don't you like?

Inconsistency, he played "small" quite often.

I think his height (6'6) worked against him some time.
He needs to learn to play with better leverage, otherwise smaller guy can clear him out with better leverage and technique.

The question is whether he can bend.
Probably need to watch some more tape to see if he has the ability to do that or he's just a waist bender.
