After the embarressing OT loss to the Rams and the Embarressing loss to the Chiefs, will we lose Fangio or Capers?

The only reason we dont is because chances are we are going to spend money on a coach and no one is really available right now.

I think that Capers will have a job for the rest of the season, but once that game against the Niners is over, bye bye Dom.

I think the coaching staff is being fired as I type this. It does no good to keep them around. Just name an interrim head coach and play for the first round pick.
This coaching staff has to be the worst in the NFL.

Unfortunately No, Ownership is waiting til the end of the season. It will save paper to issue on pink slip for the whole staff, instead Firing them one at a time.

We would be better off by just scripting 100 plays on offense and running the same defense the whole game.

This crap about keeping Capers and crew on for the rest of the season is tiring.

You thought the stadium was empty today. They might as well pretend as if they are the Saints and play somewhere else, as they would stand a better chance of filling the seats.

Ya know, I was in the "keep 'em till the end of the season and then dump ALL of them" crowd until today. This was an absolute gag of colossal proportions. The team looked better than it had in a year until halftime, and then suddenly spit the bit against a team sporting the following:

1) Acting head coach
2) Team infighting
3) Multiple new defensive starters
4) A THIRD-STRING quarterback

I am beyond disgusted at this point. Dump 'em. NOW.

all i have to say is i've been the biggest homer on this board, but i'm done with them all Casserly too, but he will probably weasel a couple more years out of this.

I hope not!!!!!!!! He is the main problem in this organization.

If anyone goes to another game this year, they are very stupid. Keep the stadium empty until they put a "Real" team on the field. I still think I must have been dreaming. Who can loose a game with a ten point lead and a few seconds to play? Answer: of course, the Texans, the only team that could,

We forgot to mention that the 3rd string QB from the football powerhouse Harvard was making his very first NFL start.

Casserly definitely needs to go as well. I don't know if it's more Casserly or Capers, but they've both run this franchise into the ground.

Wrong, I remember a team called the Oilers that could have pulled off that feat also :) Maybe Houston is just a Jinxed town or something? I don't know but for more than 40yrs, I've witnessed this pain, and I keep coming back, maybe I need to be shot or put out to pasture. Pittsburgh had a sign at their city limits at one time that said "City of Champions"....Houstons reads "City of Chokers"

It's almost as if the coaching staff listened to the players' complaints and came up with a more aggressive game plan. If we used the same game plan we would have lost 35-7. So, which is worse? Getting your doors blown off or blowing a lead?

Please Mr. McNair, treat the fans to an early Christmas present and fire the entire coaching staff and Casserly.

It might not help the Texans win any games but it would sure brighten up the Holidays for us.

Tis the season to be jolly..........

because I don't believe McNair will fire anyone during the season. McNair is probably the anti-budster.
Our only hope is that Capers falls on his sword.
This staff is so sorry that there is no one to put in the interim position.
Pendry for Palmer = worse to worse.

Cass will survive the purge...:twocents:

I am now in the draft Bush camp and wait for Brady Quinn to graduate.
A decent coaching staff will find a way to get the ball in Bushs hands. This bunch would line him up behind Carr and try to run between the tackles.

Blowing a 24-7 lead is WAY worse! That is jus' totally inexcusable. Whatever was said at halftime was definitely not the way to go. All it did was make us head South with the gameplan (yet again). Someone deserves firing over an 'epic choke' like that but they will all be on the sidelines coaching 'til the end of the season (if not beyond)...:dangit:

Mr. McNair is not going to fire anybody....yet.

Firing a coach of a 1-10 team, with only 5 games left in the season, solves nothing and only puts this team in deeper turmoil. Wait until the season is over, and hopefully the owner holds the coaches accountable. We rebuild from there after the postseason is over and we see who is available (and interested).

The Defensive back coach should be the first one fired, how the hell do you let the 3rd string qb have 310yards passing and 3 td.

Don't you blaspheme in here. :) There are many on this board who think Hoke is the second coming of Lombardi.

I heard Karl Dukes on 790 say it a couple of days ago. Unfortunately it could be a likely scene. The entire defensive coaching staff and the OL coach get the AX, but Dom and his best bud JP get to stay another year. Casserly will probably be here at least 2 more years. He is good at saying "The coaches would be the better ones to ask that".:brickwall

The Houston Oilers could have done it... :tv:

Man I am on the Hoke for DC bandwagon and there is a reason for that. First the situation with the secondary is on Fangio. Every corner on our team other than Buchanon wants to play more man to man defense. On almost every third down this sunday FAngio ran a terrible zone and that was why Harvard boy looked so good. Hoke was roaming the side lines fuming at the playcalling. D-Rob was yelling at FAngio because of the playcalling. Hoke has had success at every job he has been in at the DC and DB coach posistions. The reason why is because he makes aggressive calls. If you want an aggressive defense either 3-4 or 4-3 you would want HOKE. DOes not matter cause likely he will be fired with the rest of everyone else and go to the college ranks and do big things. Then he will come back to the NFL in a year or two as a DC and lead a good campaign.

I like Hoke and want to see Fangio gone as well. I do feel that Hoke's luster has been diminished this year. Our next DC is out there somewhere, I just do not feel he is on our team at this moment.

that they will now start winning games and find a way to mess up their first overall pick. IMO, the only way we lost the game yesterday is Dom Capers. You go out there to play 4 quarters of football, not 2. I am surprised no noe has gotten fired yet.:brickwall

A coach did get fired, but he worked for the Lions.:) The owner said he wasn't happy with the development of #1 draft picks.
