It's going to suck if Ogletree and Minter are gone, and there's no decent WR, DE, and DT at #27, and T'eo is sitting there! I hope they trade back if that's the case. I just don't think T'eo is going to be that good in the NFL, and with all the other crap swirling around him now, the team doesn't need that distraction.

Also, what's the deal with Skov from Stanford? I thought he was a Senior already. Anybody know?

I had to double check also before posting thread, SKov evidently had another year of eligibility...

Four days after leaving the field and celebrating Stanford’s 20-14 win in the 99th Rose Bowl, senior linebackers Shayne Skov, Trent Murphy and Ben Gardner announced that they will be returning to school next year to use their final year of eligibility and try to lead the Cardinal back to the Rose Bowl a year from now in the BCS National Championship.

I just watched some of Ogletree and that dude is going to get the crap blocked out of him at the next level. Not impressed.

He doesn't explode to the ball like I'd want to see and the biggest thing of all I don't like about him is he plays with his hands at his side. He gets blocked really easily because of that.

I need to look at some of these lower rated prospects because all the "top guys" at ILB look suspect.

Jon Major

He's the best looking ILB prospect that I've seen in this draft. Really Good athlete....Probably going to get way underrated in his athleticism. From Colorado. Good solid wrap up tackler, but brings some something extra behind his hits.

Not likely to get drafted. I'd grab him as an UDFA in a second. He's a better player than Louiseau was. I don't know why he's not rated higher. He's a nice looking player.

Watching him more, he looks like the best ILB in the draft to me...lol...

Jon Major came to Colorado with so much hope and promise.

Considered the top prep player in the state in the class of 2008, Major was part of a stellar recruiting class for the Buffs.

"We wanted to start a dynasty," Major said of that class, which ranked among the nation's best at the time.

Now a senior linebacker, Major has just two games left in a career -- and a senior season -- marked by disappointment. He and the Buffaloes (1-9, 1-6 Pac-12) will host Washington (6-4, 4-3) on Saturday, still searching for their first win at Folsom Field.

"You just have to see the positive, if there is one," said Major. "You have to put your pride on the backseat a little bit and look to the young guys and to the future and what you can do now as an individual. That's all you can do is try to bring up the new guys and do everything you can to finish on a good note."

It's been an interesting ride for Major, who starred at Ponderosa High School in Parker.

Major came to CU with a class that included five-star running back Darrell Scott, who was arguably the nation's best back. That class also included Lynn Katoa and Shaun Mohler, who, like Major, were four-star linebackers. Scott quit the team midway through 2009. Legal trouble ended Katoa's time with the Buffs after just two years and Mohler, as a junior college transfer, was done after two years.

In all, there were eight four-star recruits (including Scott) and a host of other three-star players. Many of them exhausted their eligibility last season. Others just never panned out. Ironically, it was the less-heralded recruits that wound up being the best of the bunch, guys like Curtis Cunningham, Tyler Hansen, Will Pericak and Rodney Stewart.

Major would probably be considered the best player from that group of four-star recruits, but his career has been defined by injuries. He tore his ACL during fall camp as a true freshman and missed that entire season. Shoulder and knee trouble limited him in 2009 and another knee injury cut his season short in 2010. He finally played a full season in 2011 and has been on the field for most of this season, but he did miss a game with a hyper-extended elbow.

Doing more reading on him, it looks like injuries and a bad team is going to keep him from getting some recognition...I don't even know if he's going to the combine...I doubt it...

Rey, have you looked at A.J. Klein-ILB? He's not a run stopping oldschool thumper, he's the sideline to sideline player that can still play the run.

I would not trust a player from Iowa St., even if my job depended on it.

I mocked him long time ago in 5th but probably a 6th now. Plays hard but imo just lacks NFL skills. He's rated 56.3and had very good junior year. When I watched him, I see an MLB in 4-3 that can lock and load on RBs thru the middle. Others rate him mid 4th.

When I watched him he looks like a 4th round pick to me as well, but he's got the basics of a project player that's worth pursuing. He's got decent size and speed for the position, and I like his coverage ability while still being able to play the run and tackles well.

AJ Klein is a Patriot type of player. I think he will be a core special teams player & versatile back-up on the cheap who helps fill in gaps wherever needed. All teams need players like him to keep under cap restraints. Spend a late 4th on him to backfill ILB position would be an upgrade over Bradie James & for less money.

I just checked YouTube and the videos that I saw a month ago are now gone, not sure why. He's not the big run stuffing thumper who plays the run almost exclusively, he's more the sideline to sideline coverage guy that can handle the RB or TE in pass coverage while also being a willing tackler and plays the run well.
