Playoff Road Trip - New England. Who is going?

I'm not going but looking for get together planners. And then I'll repost to the blog to get more people going.

Who is in?

Looks like there's a volunteer at the FB group.

But if you are going, please say you are, and say where you are sitting.

Things I've heard and I know:

Heard Jet Blue/SWA a good choice if you are looking for flights.

Last year, I was able to get a nice package from United Vacations with air and hotel combined. Not ideal travel time, but I was able to go.

Priceline is often a good choice for hotels if you aren't particular about the bedding situation.

I'm going but I have no idea where we're sitting. Let's just say somewhere between the upper level and the Ozone Layer.

going sitting in section 131. Staying in Providence. Team is staying at Westin Providence, so staying there. Not sure if anything goes on in Providence though? any news?

Yes, working on plans for both Providence and Boston for Saturday night. Then a meetup on gameday. I'll be posting info on my blog as soon as it is done.

an older post on getting around at Gillette.

Can't tell you much about Providence, other than there's a decent downtown area for shopping a such. I am sure there's bars and clubs as well.

EDIT: be sure to check out Toby Keith's at Patriot Place. Live music Saturday nights, usually a big crowd. Good food and beer in Mason jars. Waitresses are friendly and generally attractive. Think Hooters for big boys.

We'll be there!!! Anybody tailgating or just meeting up at CBS? We are planning on taking the train from downtown boston, but will look into the Booze (Bowl) Bus!!

if you're looking for a good meal, go somewhere in federal hill.. also a big mall with a movie theater.

So...how was everyone's experience? I'll post my thoughts in a new thread later. Interesting time. lol

I would be extremely interested!! The reason I say or ask this is fueled by SB XXXVIII when Chowds faced the Panthers here at Reliant..

With having no 'real' experience with Patriots fans prior to us hosting the Super Bowl, I had no ill-will, nor prejudice towards patsie fans.

Since the weekend prior to SB XXXVIII, I have had nothing but hatred to those self-serving, suddenly wannabe relevant after nearly 100 years of futility... You people SUCK!!!!

Granted, Houston is a relatively young city in comparison. That said, we don't appreciate y'alls arrogance, when you really don't have all that much to be arrogant about given the two cities history. YES, the Celtics have rocked the NBA, but what? Houston was just getting started about then after moving here from San Diego. WOW, the Patriots had so much more success than the Oilers???? WRONG!!! The Patriots for years were the sad-sack football organization of the NFL for years............ and years............ and years.........

In my best, ignorant Boston accent........ Go **** yasselves!!
