Stop the negativity - let`s kick some Pats ass!

Hey guys,

it seems like nobody believes we have a chance - and that includes a lot of our own fans. But there is still 60 minutes to be played.

Several weeks ago this was considered an even matchup. Why? Because our Defense was beasting, our running game pretty awesome and AJ back to beast mode. Now in the last weeks a lot of things didn`t work the way they used to. But the talent is still there.

Our secondary played great last week - as did Watt. Now let`s get a pass rush going and our ILBs need to step up against the run. Oh, and cover those damn TEs...

We need to establish our running game, not fall behind quickly and dictate the pace of the game - and get back to our play action magic. The Pats D is very vulnerable, let`s exploit that.

It will be tough, especially against Brady on his onw field. But crazier things have happened, and we definetly have the talent to compete.

So stop the negativity, and be excited about our chance to prove everybody wrong - a superbowl tastes so much sweeter, if you have to go through Brady and Manning to get there.

Well, as long as you believe in your teammates and each other. We have a good chance to beat the Patriots, we just have to play our game.

IF the Texans win, it's going to throw a LOT of people for a loop.

It will create a bigger buzz than anything else in the NFL.

The Texans playing the AFCC game, and maybe even AT HOME if the Ravens beat the Broncos!!!! Man, that would be the ultimate wth? moment...for us to have lost HFA and then gain it back again.

Even going into Denver for the AFCC game would be the biggest NFL story of the year. Houston vs. Peyton, for a much larger prize than just the AFC South crown that it took us around 9 years to snatch from Peyton's hands.

Yeah, IF the Texans win...that's going to be some crazy schnitt going on in the media. They'll all, of course, be on Manning's jockey strap if that happened. We'd be 21 point underdogs if we went to Denver. LOL.

My biggest hope is HOU can start fast get a TD on 1st drive. That would instill confidence in offensive unit. All these 3&out 1st drives just set an ugly tone for the game. You go 3&out then NE starts with great field position, which brings down OFF then in turn puts stress on DEF off the bat.

When was the last time the Texans got blown out in a playoff game?

That could be a new first in about 7 days if Gary and Wade don't mix things up and find different strategies than what they tried in week 14.

It really wasn't that difficult of a question. The answer was never. Not sure everyone understands what negativity means.

I think we're going to win. I'm not really a homer and everything points to the Texans losing this game, but I think we win. No real reasoning behind it though. I think I'm just genuinely excited that for the 2nd straight year we have a chance to advance to the AFC Championship game.

But if we do lose at least we can say we have more playoff wins than the Cowboys over the last 10 or 15 years! :D

Oh I'm sorry. My brain is wired to say what I want regardless of what the thread title includes in its description.

I will be nothing BUT positive now.

I am POSITIVE that we might have a blowout if Gary and Wade don't get their crap sorted out, and QUICKLY. Thats cold hard facts, no amount of positive thinking will ever overtake solid planning and game day execution.

Honorable try OP but this board is hopeless. I think we lose, but I think we have a shot. AND I'm excited just to be able to cheer for my team in January. I'll take a divisional round playoff loss over 8-8 or worse any day. We have a real shot at the Super Bowl, even if it does mean a few upsets. And that's something the fans of 75% of nfl teams can't say

Wait, you said you think we will lose...but it's other people who are hopeless.

I have also said we have a chance to win, only if we bring our A+ game and the Patriots make costly mistakes. Both those things have to happen, and one of those things is in our team's control and the other is not.

I think we win this game and if the broncos advance, I think we'll lose to them.

If the ravens advance I think we'll beat them and play in the superbowl.

But I think we beat the pats this Sunday on the strength of the defense.

The jitters, butterflies, the nervousness...that is gone. Win or go home. We have the talent. Wade is a good defensive coach. Kubiak is a good offensive coach. I'm not big on schaub but he can do enough to win this game.

We should no longer be in awe of the pats. We've been there gotten our head bust. We've felt their wrath. We know what they can do. The hesitation will be gone. We will come out fast, wild and free and we will win this game.

So stop the negativity...
TTalk has a few too many resolute nattering naybobs of negavitism for that.

We have a shot at the superbowl....one of 8 teams......we are still in it....Lets get behind this team.....
Anything can happen Sunday.....
As for me.....I think they can win. I believe....

The Patsies are not perfect, they're just better. But better doesn't always win you games. Everyone here knows perfectly well the Texans can win this game. We'll know this time next Sunday if they show up to play football or not.

Ok I'll throw the monkey wrench in this little scenario...

2 red zone TDs in the last 3 games...

let that sink in a bit and ask yourself if FGs in the red zone is really going to beat Tom Brady....

Facts are facts and until THAT gets fixed in the next 7 days, it will be much like last time...

I said earlier this season that I feel this team can beat any team in the league. Despite recent setbacks, I still believe that. We might not be playing that great right now but a completion here and one less penalty there and we are scoring TDs instead of FGs.

Just off my memory but it seemed like the ball bounced the Pat's way all night the last game. Harris extended their first drive with a penalty on third and long. Then NE fumbled inside the 5 yard line and recovered before the TD where James was trying to cover Hernandez out of the backfield (that play ruined my fantasy teams chances).

Schaub threw a pick in the endzone. Watt forced a fumble in the redzone that was recovered by NE for a TD. I believe we also fumbled inside the ten yard line recovered by NE.

I don't know, I don't think we're favorites to win this game by any means but I'm also not ready to concede defeat.

A football can bounce in a lot of crazy directions.

Exactly..... I think the second half of that game our defense thought.... "we can beat these guys."

So we better score from the 25 is all I got to say.
