Remember back during the Caper era when we were considered as one of the "cursed" franchises, along the likes of the Raiders, Lions, Cardinals, BENGALS?

Guess what? Curse franchises don't go 2-0 in the first games they play in the post-season!

Something to be grateful for.

Scrimmage is over.

Now comes a REAL game.

And the Patriots, they're not scared of the Texans. And after watching us today, they shouldn't be. We haven't grown since our loss to them, we just relied--as I have said before--on the OTHER team failing to keep their own **** together.

IF the Pats stumble and bumble, we have a chance. The Pats rely on their opponent crumbling under the pressure...something we do to lesser teams as well. IF the Pats make errors and the Texans capitalize, it could all unravel for the Pats.

But I expect Brady to have that offense hell-bent on getting back to the Super Bowl again. They barely lost the SB game last year, Brady & Co. will be blood thirsty next week.

I give the Texans credit for playing a gritty game. But they committed too many dumb penalties and failed in the red zone. You can squeak by the Bengals at home like that, but you won't win in Foxboro and Denver that way.

sooo your grateful that your Houston Texans have scored a whopping 2 TDs in the last 3 games?

You are easily pleased...

Speaking of cursed.... If i hear about the stupid Oilers team one more time... Anytime we have a lead, some idiot in the media brings it up. Today we had a 6 point lead and people were mentioning it. They might as well tie the texans to a blown Brad Lidge game too..

The ownership, the team, the stadium, the division, all have zero relation to that team. The only thing in common is that John Mcclain is still fat and years later another team plays within the same 650 sq mile radius of an old NFL team.

The important thing to take from this is that the Texans played better on both sides of the ball. Still, there are issues that need to be addressed. However, we did not play the Patriots, in Foxboro, or the Broncos. We played the Bengals & did what we had to do to beat the Bengals.

The Bengals was supposed to have the fiercest pass rush in the league. Over the last 5 or 6 weeks they've only allowed 12 ppg. Next to Denver, this was the second hottest team in the league. We kicked their ass.

The goal, I'm sure, is to get better every week. We played better last week than we did in Minnesota, we played better this week than we did against Indy. Next week, we'll have to play better than we did today.

Not on both sides. the Defense looked like the defense that started this year but the offense still is having trouble scoring TDs in the red zone. FGs are not going to beat NE next week...

They're saving up all their TDs for an offensive explosion next week.:winky:

I didn't say we've fixed all our problems, I said we played better. The offense played much better than it did against Indy & Minnesota, especially when you take into account the Bengal's defense has only allowed 12 ppg over the second half of the season & lead the league in sacks over that same time. We gained 420 yards on what is probably the third best defense in the AFC (Denver, Houston, Cincinnati).

Moving the ball like we did against Cincinnati bodes well for what we're going to have to do next week.
