Must win @ Indy

Tailgate

Fall of Hame
Remember these threads?? :) Havent started one since way back when, when we seemed actually a complete football team, and the results were favorable. So this thread just may be what this team needs to put it all together again. :kitten:

In all honesty, I think the #1 seed is the only way we can have a legit shot on improving from last years results and at least get a chance to play for a spot in the Super Bowl.

If we lose, well... It was all over before it really even started imo.

This is a MUST WIN game for this franchise. :wadepalm:

i wouldn't say its the most important game..they've still got the playoffs ahead and they've had other playoff games already....This is just a game that they need to find something....anything to hang their hat on & get some momentum going into the playoffs.

If we lose, and end up 3rd seed in the playoffs, I'm afraid it'll be one and done in the playoffs. If we win, I think the team will at least make it to the AFC championship game as the number 1 AFC seed.

So yeah, this is a must win this Sunday. A big must win.

Statement games have historically given us a firm statement. We almost never wanted to hear that statement. This weekend is win or don't go home.

Wait.... is it..... the most important game in franchise history? :kitten:

The most important game in the regular season. That's the way I'm looking at this game. With a win Houston will get Home-Field throughout. A loss and you get a rematch with Cincinnati and then have to travel to New England. It's a much easier road to the Super Bowl for Houston with a win Sunday.

It is absolutely a must-win game. The Texans need to get themselves back on track and go out and take somebody else's lunch money for a change. If they don't do that then they enter the playoffs with little chance of getting past the second round. Sure, they'll have as good as any shot to win their first round game against the Bengals but after that? Can anyone imagine them coming out on top in back to back trips to Denver and New England? No, they wouldn't get past the second round.

This is a must win. The playoffs start Sunday with the Texans needing to take care of unfinished business.

Yup. If we lose this game, then I seriously doubt we even beat Cincy at home. They seemingly are playing their best ball right now. What a disaster that ending to this season would be.

The playoffs start Sunday.

I'm almost with you...I think a loss means we still win our round one game but likely lose on the road in the second round.

I think a win means we ultimately host the Pats/Broncos winner in the championship game.

Texans won first Colts game so that should instill confidence without over doing it. The bye will help heal nicks and bruises physically & mentally. I think we stack up better against Denver, but could win/lose to either.

It is a must win game..for my needs.

Must win from the stand point that this team needs the confidence going into the play offs, I think so. If we lose, I don't think that means we'll be one & done.

We'll play at home Wild Card weekend. We'll play the 6 seed, the Colts. I think our chances are pretty good to win that one.

We'll then go to play New England or Denver. They'll have to play better than they have recently to beat either team, but I'd rather play Denver. Again, I like our chances to beat Denver on the road if our offense is working. They're pretty small across the front.

Then we'll have to go to New England & we'll have to play better than we've played at any point in the year, if New England is still firing on all cylinders. If they run out of gas, like they did last year, I like our chances.

Most likely we'll have to go to New England first. if they end up the 3rd seed.

We've definitely have to get better. A win here would help our confidence. But I wouldn't say it's a must win.

I'll be disappointed if we don't. It would be an "easier" path if we're the #1 seed.

Texans need the first round bye more than any of the other top seeds in either conference. The team has been sluggish for over a month now and maybe an off week could re charge their batteries and give them a chance at a super bowl run. I don't think we should be considered a favorite even with home field advantage, but I can't see this team beating Denver and New England back to back weeks either. If the Texans get the bye it gives them a punchers chance where NE and Denver are going to knock each other off and we won't have to beat but one to make the Super Bowl.

The Colts are 5 seed, Bengals are 6.

The Broncos & Pats can always forget to show up Sunday and the Texans can always back their way into the Number 1 seed... But I'd much rather see a win over those mouth breathers from Indy.

Most important regular season game in franchise history, no doubt. I hate the shoes, I hope we stomp a mud hole in em!

A win at Indy on Sunday is essentially a 1st round playoff win. And it improves their 2nd round chances dramatically. I would call that must win.
