Can the Texans clinch the 1st seed at home?

If the Texans beat the Colts and the 49ers beat the Patriots, does that mean the Texans can clinch the 1st seed in the AFC with a win over the Vikings next Sunday at Reliant Stadium? Or would they still need a win at Indianapolis the final game of the season, a place they have never won before? I think San Francisco is very capable of knocking off the Pats but obviously the Texans just have to win their own games or none of that other stuff matters.

Both the Broncos & the Patriots are sitting there with three wins. If we beat Indy, the Worse we can do is 4 loses.

If the Patriots lose to the 49ers, they'll have 4 losses.

The Broncos will still only have 3. However, if we beat the Vikings, we'll have clinched the #1 seed since we won't be able to lose more than 3 games, we have the tie breaker over Denver, & there is no 3 way tie.

The only thing the Colts are clinching tomorrow is a depressing plane ride home after getting their butts whooped. :)

I'm pretty sure several Colts will be clinching their as$cheeks thinking about Jj Watt.

Yes, if we win next week and Pats lose tonight OR next week, then we clinch the one, because even if we tie the Broncos we win with H2H

Also, did not want to start a new thread for this but its important.....

(on resting any players down the stretch) “Absolutely not. We’ve got a game. We’ve got to keep going.”

and especially as bad as our offense has looked i think it would be a big mistake to rest anybody for the play-offs.

If HFA comes down to the last game at Indy, there won't be any resting of players. And unless the Patsies lose tonight, that's exactly what will happen. After San Fran, New England has Jacksonville and Miami and they'll win both those.

Agreed, heck, I think it's so bad, that on that week off they need to get the Lions in here to scrimmage them.

& when they get Suh in the locker room........ soap party.
