Some notables: (1) Duane Brown has moved up from 4 to 3 among OTs. (we need to get this guy in the PB lineup).
(2) Antonio Caldwell at 3rd among guards even though rookie Ben Jones beat him out as the starter at RG sometime ago ?
(3) Arian Foster tops all non-QBs - he's just plain overrated by the fans, but
(4) JJ Watt top defensive player in voting and he's deserving
(5) Chris Myers #4 among centers and will miss it if we don't kick it in.

Baltimore putting gobs of players in the game even though it's a much smaller city than Houston and not having as good season as the Texans: what's up with that ?

He's not having a good year. Monday night was one of his worse games.

Before the game I said he struggles with the delayed blitz & needs to improve there for us to have a chance to win the game. We got killed by the delayed blitz up the middle.

There were so many mis-calls on the line it just wasn't funny. Ben Jones on Vince Wilfork way to many times.

Then I counted at least twice he got to the second level then jumped on the ground in front of a LB who eventually made the play on our RB. I understand cut blocking big guys, guys that are just too physical for you to block. But a LB? He should be able to go heads up with these guys & at least delay them enough to accomplish his goals. LBs are generally more athletic than your Center anyway, so he should do every thing he can to keep his eyes on the guy & try to disrupt them. Going to the ground is just helping the LB out. Head up, try to get your hands on them. Best case scenario, get your body on him.

His play was pathetic Monday night.

EVERYBODY. DO IT. WE ARE THE FREAKING 4TH LARGEST CITY IN AMERICA. AND HAVE THE BEST RECORD IN THE LEAGUE. NOT ONLY SHOULD ALL OUR DESERVING PLAYERS GET PRO BOWL NODS, BUT ARE UNDESERVING PLAYERS SHOULD GET IT TOO!!!!!

Fastest way:

At the top of the screen, it allows you to search by team. Go through each position you want to vote for. Do NOT vote for players of other teams because even though you have multiple votes, a vote for someone else is sorta like taking a vote away from your guy. After you finish voting for your Texans, go to bottom of the page and hit submit ballot.

DO IT!!! DO IT!!!! And you can vote as many times as you like.

VOTING ENDS MONDAY. (Which is sorta blurgh timing given what happened last week).

Lets have a TT.com voting party. Do you votes, report back here that you've voted in this thread. You stuck on hold? Vote. Watching some dumb TV program? Vote. Let's see what we can do.

Why this matters: Texans players need to know that if they come to this team and perform, they will get voted to the PB.

Our undeserving players should not get in, the PB shouldnt be a popularity contest

Our undeserving players should not get in, the PB shouldnt be a popularity contest

Why? It already is a popularity contest with fan voting.

If you want every advantage in attracting good free agents to the Texans, then you need to show you can vote both deserving and undeserving players into the Pro Bowl.

McNair can do a lot of things to make Houston a destination that coaches/players want to come to. But there's nothing he can do to make this one of the traditional franchises. Long standing franchises with huge fanbases vote undeserving players in all the time. We need to try to compete with that the best we can with social media resources. We won the USAA Military contest that way, but the Pro Bowl is more difficult but not impossible.

Im sorry if you dont like my opinion but I dont think any undeserving people should get things they dont umm deserve. I also dont think if you vote McCain into the PB it would help one ounce in getting a good free agent to Houston.

Good Stuff T_C.
The Ravens have like 6 players leading the voting at their respective positions
including Micahel Oher at OT while our Duane Brown is only #3.
Don't they take 3 OTs & 3 guards to the PB ?
And what about Antoine Caldwell being #3 in voting at guard, who's just a backup on the team now ? What's that about ?

Eh...

Undeserving players who make the Pro Bowl will get a big ego and demand a bigger contract than he deserves, which probably means he won't stay a Texan.

Having more players in the Pro Bowl doesn't equate to attracting more good free agents. Winning in the regular season, winning in the playoffs, and winning the Super Bowl is what will make players want to come here.

"It would be the biggest accomplishment I've ever had in my life," said Dolphins strong safety Reshad Jones, who is wrapping up a breakout season.

Jones, who has tallied 81 tackles, three interceptions, one sack and forced two fumbles, has consistently been rated one of the NFL's best safeties this season by ProFootballFocus.com.

Jones is one of five Dolphins players that have a realistic shot of getting to Hawaii this offseason.

"It would let me know all the hard work ... is recognized by someone other than myself," said Jones, a 2010 fifth-round pick who has turned into a two-year starter. "That's bigger than getting drafted. I'd be the elite of the elites."

Hey, anybody who thinks making it to the Pro Bowl is not that important to many of these guys is probably mistaken. Just a few days left, vote for your Texans.

Our players are not going to the Pro-Bowl; they are going to the Superbowl.

Yes, they want to go to the Super Bowl. But they still want to be voted into the Pro Bowl.

If we can't get the players of the Texans that deserve to be in the Pro Bowl into the Pro Bowl, then we suck as a fanbase. We can't have suckass Ravens players get in over ours when we are the 4th largest city in America.

Last day people. Do it.

I voted! Also tried to vote for Travis Johnson, but I couldn't find him.

All the Texan players are going to be occupied getting ready for the Superbowl......so even if they are voted in....they wont be going to Hawaii this year........

Rodgers on Wednesday said the Pro Bowl after the 2009 season was more like “real” football, in large part because defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch, then of Tennessee, was playing full speed. That forced the players blocking him to increase their effort, and that effect filtered through the rest of the players, at least to a degree.
“I just felt like the intensity level was higher (in 2009),” Rodgers said. “You didn’t see a ton of big hits or anything, but you didn’t see some of the efforts or lack of effort we saw last season. On the flip side, I understand. Drew (Brees of the New Orleans Saints) was playing without a contract, and some of these guys didn’t want to be out there. I understand that. But if that’s the case, then maybe we shouldn’t have a game at that point.”

There are two reasons players like the Pro Bowl: They get expenses paid for what’s mainly a week’s vacation in Hawaii, and they have bonuses in their contracts if they’re chosen.
For the trip, each player receives two free first-class tickets or four tickets in coach for the flight to Hawaii, plus a free room at the Pro Bowl hotel and the option of paying for a second room. Players who bring numerous family members and friends can end up paying a fair amount of money, but they still consider it a good deal.

Speaking of the Pro Bowl, here's an interesting story out of Green Bay on some thoughts/observations on the game by Packers QB Rogers.

Foster and Watt both topped fan voting for the 2013 Pro Bowl at their respective positions in the AFC, it was announced today by the NFL. Foster (829,591 votes) finished third overall in the NFL in fan votes behind Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning (993,045 votes) and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (908,099).
Watt (542,688) had 155,103 more votes than any other defensive player. The next-closest were Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller (387,585), Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (362,986), Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen (351,571) and Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Clay Matthews (343,514).
Aside from Foster and Watt, no Texans players led the AFC fan vote at their respective positions. Fan voting on NFL.com ended Monday, Dec. 17. It accounts for one-third of the Pro Bowl selection process along with votes from players and coaches. The 43-man Pro Bowl rosters will be announced on Wednesday, Dec. 26, at 6 p.m. CT.
