Same formations, losing by 21 and please dont go 4 wide although we have seen time and time again that we can move the ball at will with 4 wide.

Then lets get the ball back down 35-7 and run 3 straight times. Kubiak lost us this game with his non creative play calling. Didnt we trade for a damn full back, SO put casey at TE and use or damn FB.

Folks the Texans now look like a joke, and i cant help but laugh. I love this team but what was displayed on the field tonight is what we have seen the last 4 games. The patriots defense is not good enough to hold us to 7 points. The texans held us to 7 points.

What a ****ing joke. Grow some balls kubiak

Yep, we'd better secure home-field advantage, because if we have to go to NE again, it's gonna be a problem.

We've played pretty poorly for 4 games now. Maybe the rest of the league has just figured us out.

Also, Kubiak is a big p****.

Could it be possible Kubiak is up to something here? And thinking big picture? It does seem quite odd Kubiak was so stubborn with the run today despite constant single man coverage.

When you have a princess coaching your team, you're gonna play soft in big games like this.

What good could come out of "throwing" the game ???
Just my way of giving hope that the Texans didn't honestly just get smashed today.

Who knows? Maybe the Pats will take us lightly if we play them again in our house. We also didn't give them an honest view of our offense today.

Yes, I'm an optimist.

Ain't gonna happen. There is NO way this team sweeps the Colts. The Vikings might spoil the party also.

The Pats won home field advantage tonight and it's very doubtful they are going to lose any of their last 3 games.

HAHA everyone around here should know i am no bandwagoner. Tonight Kubiak was a moron, not saying he is all the time.

The match-ups and play calling on the offense was terrible. Did we think lining AJ up at FB and then sending him in motion every play would confuse the Patriots soft Defense ?? One on one on AJ all night and losing by 21 we still run against an 8 man front, but we have all seen what 4 wide does for our offense.

Short open letter to the Texans: Thanks for embarrassing yourselves and your fan base on national television AGAIN. And ditch the juvenile letter jackets...unless you intend to look like a high school team every week.

It just makes no sense. Can Kubiak really not adjust and adapt. Go 4 wide "IT WAS WORKING" spread them out. No lets do our same old boring formation and be uncreative with the play calling and run the ball 3 times. Way to show confidence in ur team.

I was praying like hell we could pull another Arizona game like a couple years ago, when we were down 21 in the first half and still managed to win.

That was the game AJ trucked 3 defenders to get to the end zone.

AJ cant truck any defenders if the ball is the hands of foster, forsett and tate though. Pats up 21 still throwing, we are down 21 and still running.

I'm not denying that he had crappy play calling and obviously didn't get the team ready to play. Just wish people could turn down the insults.

I would like to think so, but to what end? We haven't wrapped it up yet. Kubiak went in with a gameplan that didn't work. I'm hoping that he uses this to figure out what plays are going to work if we face them again.

I think the players didn't execute either. Our O Line was porous. Receivers dropped passes. Schaub couldn't find open receivers underneath and instead threw into tight coverage. Kubes called it poorly, but our plays didn't execute when they had the chance.

That really puzzled me. I know we are down a TE, but AJ at the FB is not going to fool anyone. It bothers me that AJ was getting single coverage and we were targeting guys like Martin and Jean.

Also where was OD? He really didn't show up. We needed a big game from him considering Graham was out and the Pats don't cover well on TEs.

Why do other teams so easily exploit mismatches while Kubiak has a better chance of seeing a unicorn then he does a defense's weakness?

. Pats up 21 still throwing, we are down 21 and still running.
this^^^^ This all F'ing day. This is why I hate stubborn, gonna do it all my way coaching. Kubiak, for better or worse, is one of the most stubborn, egotistic coaches in the NFL. Will not deviate from a game plan, even when down 21.

Kubiak: "Down 21, well let me flip my little colorful sheet." "Ah yes I have great plays for being down 21....run left for no gain...run right for negative yards...throw a short 8 yard pass when you need 11..."

Still will not allow Schaub to audible out of plays. Oh he can change the run from left to right, but that is about it. Brady sees something, looks at his WR, BAM over the top for big gain. Why you ask, because of the coach...

11-2 is 11-2 but a leopard still doesn't change his spots...Even at 11-2....

He was there but Schaub was busy throwing into double coverage or over throwing WRs to see O.D or Foster ide open in the flats. "When we were throwing"

it's weird, in the jags and lions game when the texans were down and he saw that his offense was sluggish,he just said **** it and spread every thing out, went hurry up shotgun and the offense was moving down the field at a pace we haven't seen all year

yet tonight he kept running

He gave up early, it was obvious, do u think the pats, or broncos would give up down 28 to start the 4th ??? Hell no

The game was over on the opening drive of the 2nd half when Kubiak insistence on establishing an enemic running game that resulted in a 3 & out in a 21-0 game. When was the last time in the history of football has a team rushing game ever help out on coming back from a 21-0 lead in the 2nd half. That tells me this team hung it up early. That has to be the only reason.

Yeah. This was really a Kubiak-outsmarting-Kubiak game. 3rd and 8? 5 yard pass. QB sneaks in garbage time. No bootlegs. Running Foster into run defense.

Actually, this was a Belichick outsmarting Kubiak game.

Remember the games were Kareem Jackson was being picked on by the other team with ZERO mercy? Can anyone provide me an example where Kubiak has done this? The NFL is all about exploiting matchups and while we have some mega fancy x's and o's on offense we never seem to pick at a defense's scab...

Kubiak: "Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh. Come on. Come here. Come here. Come on.
Come on, everybody. All right, this is it. This is the play...

The quarterback. Two receivers lined up to the left, one to the right. There's a flanker lined up to the left behind the quarterback. h, okay.

He gives the ball... No, he doesn't get the ball.

The receiver goes all the way over there to the left. Once the quarterback has the ball, he fakes to the left. No. He fakes to the right. He doesn't fake.

He thinks about faking. He pretends to fake....

I don't know where I am. I can't breathe. This room is getting smaller.

I have to sit down....."

Picking on a rookie corner isn't on the menu.

Let's look at this thing from Kubiak's perspective. I know everybody thinks he's an idiot after games like this, but I can see some reasons why he went ultra conservative. The offensive line is banged up and the Patriots started getting to Schaub and that's when he probably started thinking big picture. The Texans still control their own destiny as far as gaining home field advantage, all of the remaining games are winnable, the Patriots still have to play the 49ers (who are suddenly in a dog fight vs. the Seahawks) and the offense just wasn't in synch all night. Why risk Schaub getting hurt when the team still has a plausible shot at a Super Bowl even after a blow out loss?

I hate the fact that Kubiak quit early, but I agree with you. He doesn't want to risk Schaub, BUT what about the possibility of not showing NE coaching staff everything you have offensively, obviously because the game is out of reach and because you will meet them again in the post-season? Or am I just dreaming? With that being said, I could care less what the nation thinks of Houston. Texans are making a run to lock down home field while the rest of the NFL is thinking about the draft or battling for a spot in the wild card. I'm not pleased with tonight, but I like the Texans chances for rest of the season. They have to put this loss behind them though. We just need to keep running #44! That man is hungry!

Down four touchdowns at the start of the fourth quarter, coach Gary Kubiak surrendered. His offense didn’t hurry, huddling at its regular pace. Schaub handed the ball off to third-string running back Ben Tate until it was time to punt.

Players stopped short of calling it a white flag, but receiver Andre Johnson and left tackle Duane Brown didn’t love it. They shouldn’t have. It sends a team a bad message to give up at that point. At least go down slinging it.

“I have no control over that,” Johnson said.

“I just line up and do my job,” Brown said.

Schaub pointed to the short week ahead and a crucial game against Indianapolis as a reason for letting up.

Texans discontent with Kubiak playcalling? Schaub being Gary Jr and sounding just like his coach. You quit dumbass! You flat out quit!

I don't believe Kubiak was worrying about Schaub's health or the short week or who another team has to play the next 3 weeks. I'd like to believe that, but I just don't. I think Kubiak had a game-plan, and he was going to stick with that game-plan if we were down by 300 points. We're going to get into the AFC Championship against Brady or Manning and he's going to pull this crap again. Just watch. No more reasons for worrying about Schaub's health or who somebody else has to play or short weeks.................and he'll still pull the same crap...

It's like he absolutely refuses to make in-game decisions. I've already decided how this game will go and I'm going to call it that way. :rake:

The good news is the Pats don't lose to the same team twice in a season.
They don't lose at home in Dec.

I would rather lose a game now.

Win what we need for home field advantage in the playoffs and make them come here in Jan. They hate our field.

I would hate to be Indy next Sunday....remember the Baltimore game??
