Vince Wilfork on the Texans: They're the best team in the NFL

Wilfork was almost gushing over the Texans. I'm not sure how to take it.
I guess a Texans' win will prove Wilfork right, and the national media wrong,
about who the best team in the NFL is.
 
Well i agree with everything he said, and its true this team has played every kind of game possible this season and through it all are still 11-1. Gotta love us some texans.
 
Big Vince is probably the only real likeable Patriot player from those SB teams.

I do hope this is enough respect from the "we get no respect" crowd. It doesn't get any better than that. A top player at his position, giving props. Sincere as well, just like Urlacher's comments about Foster.

Of course they are going to say nice things. Do you expect them to say horrible things and rile the Texans up?

Kind of scares me. They've been buttering the Texans up all week. Sort of a change of pace from the usual trash-talk and post-game hate they get from division rivals.
 
I think Urlacher and Wilfork are no bull sXXt kind of guys and they tell it like it is. I don't think sweet talking or trash talking won't change anything. We've got great character guys which are Texans worthy and they just do their business as usual.

Texans need to send the same line of BS right back ... Brady best all time, Gronk best all time, Ridley=Rice, Vollmer, Hernandez, Mankins ... all great. And their deefense, oh my: Mayo, Chandler Jones, Spikes, Talib, McCourty .... pro bowlers every one. :listening :ok:

This is what gets me. Not so much that Wilfork is laying the platitudes. But that he draws comparisons to his own team.

Meanwhile, I've been on a Patriots board listening to certain Patriots fans make fun of Texas to me and tell me that our defense is garbage. Lol!!

The worst part is that I root for the Pats after the Texans, but these homers over there really take the cake. A ton of them can't even give the Texans any props.


I love Wilfork though. Class act, and one of the best DT's in the league.

AH man, I've thought about it before Cak. I'd love to have that guy over here. Another guy I think would do well here is Ninckovich or however you spell his name. Not the most talented DE, but man that guy makes plays at huge times.

Ninkovich might be used as an OLB more than than a DE here. 6'2 260 while in comparison Watt is 6'5 295 and Antonio Smith is 6'4 284. Barwin and Merci are closer in size to Ninkovich.

Well. The Oilers were never in the position the Texans currently are in.
The Texans were 9-3 this time last year, and now they are 11-1.

That's a two-game improvement in the 12-game window that determines
if a team is playoff bound or not. Nope. We just ain't used to having
the best team in the NFL during the nut-cutting portion of the season.

If you beat the Texans - the BEST team in the NFL - "the PATS are GODly."

If you lose to the Texans- "hey, they're the BEST team in the NFL. What did you expect?"

FWIW, Kubiak says the same thing about every team they play. "Well, they're a good football team, John."

I have no doubt the Texans are the best this season (when healthy), but this banged up secondary against Tom Brady, well, it could get very, very ugly out there Monday night.

Even now, when we don't necessarily have our best team out there, I think we can beat anybody. We're playing as a team & that's hard to beat.

I have no doubt that Brady & Welker are going to make us look silly at times. But when it matters, this team is going to do what it needs to win.

We can lose this game & still win HFA throughout by taking care of business the final three games. But I don't think this team cares about that. They're focused & they're going to win.

I don't know exactly how to say what I want to say. But this team transcends "talent" and "best team" & "stats" & all that. Kubiak said it in one of his post game speeches to the team.

One heartbeat.
