Sleeper Picks

Furry Tractors
What happened to the buzz over Omar Jacobs and Drew Olsen? Olsen seems to be higher that Leinart in some people's book, but Quinn is getting all the attention. Bowling Green isn't Miami, so Omar Jacobs, naturally, doesn't have a big fan base, but he still seems pretty good to me. Actually, I haven't seen him. Or Olsen. But still, they would seem better picks than say, Kellen "Roger" Clemens or Drew Wetherford. Also, what about Bobby Reid? He's a redshirt freshman, but his cousin keeps talking about him playing against Vince Young in a state championship. Any OK State fans out there?

Omar Jacobs hasn't disappointed this year and is putting up good numbers, so is Olsen but i never heard his name along with Leinart's outside of them being LA QBs. I don't really know where you are getting at with Reid and Wetherford since they are both redshirt freshman and have a long way till they can even think about being drafted. I don't exactly remember the playoff game but I do recall how dominante both Young and Reid were in High School and very fun to watch. Reid had a very good chance of starting last year but hurt his shoulder in spring ball and missed the season. this year was all his i thought but havn't seen him in much granted i don't watch many cowboy games. He wasn't in the UT game but did play in the Tech game but was pulled.

Thats what I'm getting at. Why does he not get attention? He's in LA!

Because down the road is Leinart. Did you know that the Clippers lead their division? Why do they not get any coverage? Becuase of Kobe who is down the street.

Why wouldnt the ravens just take Jay Cutler in the 2nd?

There isnt much of a drop off after Omar.

I'm far from a scout but I watch a lot of local talent. After the Florida game I'm convinced Cutler will be a steal anywhere after the top half of the first. As a lifelong Vol fan I can easily say that the talent is there but the production of it is minimal. The lack of coaching allows a lot of talent to sink in the drafts even though Tennessee regularly has almost as many pro players as any other school except Miami. Parys Haralson is a sleeper and Kevin Simon's injury history will certainly drop him way down. Jason Allen might slip because of his injury but he was never hurt before. Same with Gerald Riggs. I don't know which guys from UT will make it in the NFL but a few will who drop way down. Not much help but if indecision arises take some one from the U .... or maybe Tennessee.

Actually, the Clippers have had more press since they are the NBA version of the Saints. Leinart has been getting a lot of attention because of his ties with the simpsons. Yet the Drews of UCLA have as much publicity as Garrick Jones.
