2012 Texas H.S. Football playoffs.

The playoffs begin tonight, who's going to what game? I'm going to the Pearland Dawson v. Richmond Foster game at Galena Park Stadium, start time 7:30pm. Anyone else psych'd about the playoffs starting?

I went to the LaPorte/Pasadena Memorial game today, which LaPorte won 29-21. Saw a couple things I've never seen before. LaPorte had a 45 yd penalty called on them, and Memorial has a female kicker. I have to admit I got a good laugh out of the penalty. Those boys learned real fast not to mess with the refs. 15 yds for unshortsmanslike conduct, 15 for cussing the ref, and 15 for repeating the cussing thing. Kid spent the rest of the game on the bench, well deserved. District championship game so emotions were very high. FUN game to watch! Just good old fashioned hard nosed football! It was GREAT!!

Pearland Dawson played Houston Stratford at Reliant Stadium today at 4:00 pm.. It was a very close game that Stratford played and fought hard for, but in the end it was another Dawson win 48-35.

Dawson plays Nederland at Reliant Stadium next Friday (11-30-12) at 7:00 pm.. Everyone is invited and encouraged to come to the game and support the Pearland Dawson Eagles. If you come please wear a red shirt, team colors, Thanks.

LaPorte plays Katy at Reliant tomorrow at 1100. I'll be there!! Probably will be LPs last game of the season, unfortunately. BUT, gotta stay positive and yell my head off for the Dawgs!!!!!!

Congratulations to the Nederland Bulldogs for the win over the Dawson Eagles, you guys played a very good game. Your D-line was impressive. Good luck with Angleton (?) next week.

3A-D1 El Campo won their game against Ingleside last night. They're in the State Semis and they're going to play Carthage for the State Championship game.

anyone notice how the "Quite on offense" rule doesn't seem to apply for High School football? Heck, the band & cheerleaders are in full affect trying to get the crowd into the game.

I'm watching Alabama/Georgia & it seems they're going by the same standard.
