Urlacher: "Arian is a bada**"!

He’s a bad ass,” Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher said, via John Mullin of CSNChicago.com. “You watch him on tape, you watch him on TV, you can’t really get a grasp of how fast he is, how big he is. I had no idea.”

He does now.

“He’s so patient,” Bears defensive end Corey Wootton said. “It’s not so much that he’s explosive. He waits on his blockers, makes good decisions and then really hits the hole he picks.”

He also earned some street cred from one of the league’s baddest defenses by beating them at their own game.

Wasnt this basically the same thing that happened against the Ravens a couple years ago when lewis approached him? Arian just goes out and earns peoples respect!

Glad we got him!!

the way Chicago stadium went quiet every time Foster broke into second level or extended drive with a first down run, fans were also smitten

Your right. Ray Ray loves and respects him some Foster. So you have the 2 greatest middle line backers in the last 10 years from both conferences respecting and in awe of Arian Foster. Texan fan must be proud. I know I am.

I love how Arian always shows up for the big games. His touchdown catch reminded me of his ridiculous one handed catch in the playoffs last year. He knows he's the workhorse in games like these against great defenses and he doesn't disappoint.

Urlacher said he found a wallet on the field and knew it belonged to Arian.

LOL, nice!

But, but, Foster only averaged 3.5 yards per carry and 3 yds per catch.

Looks like he's back on his vegan diet again. :kitten:

I'm just glad I'm no longer having to argue whether this team has a top 5 offense,
when they produce a lot of yards and few touchdowns. They are legit when the
stats are accompanied by wins. I am having a good time being a Texans fan in 2012.

What I said during Pre-season.

I thought we are very solid on both sides of the ball (simliar to the Niners).

I said I was sure we will be enjoying a nice season for a change, LOL!

No way he makes that TD grab if he's only eating plant food.

No. Way.

I mean, they don't call a football a pigskin for nothin'!

Hey, he was so fed up with the Vegan diet, he went right after the pigskin.
Did you see the way he laid out for that thing, LOL!?!

Bears fan here. Our defense isn't a disrespectful group. The veterans go out and play football. They leave the talking to others. Even though they aren't disrespectful, guys like Urlacher also aren't very keen on throwing out too many compliments. In this game, despite only giving up 13 points and the offense doing nothing, they blamed themselves and said they should have played better. They blame themselves no matter the score if the team loses. That's just their mentality. I saw the clip where he said that. He isn't just saying something for the hell of it. Urlacher has never liked the media so he isn't that friendly to them most of the time. Whenever he says something like that then he really means it.

Foster is stud. I don't get to watch many Texans games but I see why you all think so highly of him. In a game like this, he adjusted to a notoriously crappy field on a rainy day and still did his thing while Forte went AWOL. You all definitely have a good one.

Edit:

Anyone else notice Arian's TD catch was without gloves? I dig that

Yeah, he's a badass

That catch was amazing. For a RB to make that was unreal. I don't think Forte, who is known for his good hands as a RB, could have made that catch. When they were showing the replay, I was expecting to see that he lost control or trapped the ball. It was very clean. The guy has skills.

Respect for old school player, 54 has some Ditka in him.
[Urlacher] said Monday that he wasn’t concerned if people thought it was out of place to congratulate an opponent for making a play against your team.

“That was a nice play. I could give a crap about what people think on the street. Get mad at me all you want, I could give … I could give a crap about what people say,” Urlacher said on The Waddle & Silvy Show on ESPN 1000.

“Danieal Manning is a friend of mine, he was a teammate for five or six years, and that’s the way it is. He made a catch and was running toward the sideline to say something to Coach, so I walked out there. The guy had a good game, he caused a fumble, had a pick. He’s my friend. I wish he wouldn’t have caught it, but he did, so nice play to you. I don’t give a crap about what fans or people say, they can kiss my butt. I don’t care.”

Mad props to Urlacher, a pretty big badass himself. Gotta love his approach to the game, very Ray Lewis-esque.

Rep coming your way. Great piece.........good for Urlacher! For anyone that didn't take the time to read the rest of the comments in this article............you should. You can't teach class like this.

Urlacher is one of my favorite players & seems to be a great guy. The way he came out to congratulate Manning on that INT.... class. PUre F@#ing CLASS.

On another note. Did anyone notice how big the holes were developing on that OL? Foster gave the hawgs credit & I think they deserved mucho creds. Foster is a beast, no doubt. But even Forsette was gashing the Bears. Had Ben Tate been in there it could have really got ugly.

The OL is coming together, give them a couple of more weeks of improvement & this team gets even scarier.

Yeah, collinsw. and A. Michls were saying "hang on, let's see if the ground helped him control the ball or let's see if it was a catch first and that they couldn't believe Matt Schaub made such a perfect throw in like a 3 inch window"

OP, thanks. Great compliment from Urlacher.

He's getting used to running on CRAPPY FIELDS.
Our field gets about 2-5 assisted tackles each home game because of OUR crappy field; on Arian alone.
And ours comes with a flippin' ROOF.

Realmen aren't afraid to pass out compliments and Urlacher is MUCH of a man. Props given where props are deserved. Urlacher would've said "we stuffed him when he needed stuffed" if the outcome had been different. AF is one turkey that defies stuffing.
