Arian Foster is no longer strictly vegan. Said he eats mostly plant-based foods but has meat every now & then #Texans

In school I had friends who were 'just going through a phase' that lasted longer than that. I bet it was the bacon tha did for him.

This is very good news. He needs that energy for a big second half push and especially if the Texans are going to make it all the way to Super Bowl 47.

I prefer Jesus in a tuxedo T-Shirt because it says I want to be formal, but I'm here to party rather than baby Jesus.

I like to think of Jesus like with giant eagles wings, and singin' lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an angel band and I'm in the front row and I'm hammered drunk

Hipsters always break in the end.

Tough act to keep up. He made a great choice.

Beef: It's what's for Super Bowl dinner.

You guys take your shots on me. Live it up.

In the end, the man saw fit to add a little meat to his plate. And that "occasional" meat is probably timed to coincide with game days. If he keeps it up, slowly he'll be back to full beast mode.

I'd say that's confirmation that a full-blown vegan diet wasn't working as well as planned.

exactly my thoughts, u could see his frustration out there every time he went down from an arm/shoe string tackle.

Now that might be a fair statement.

And so what if the man wanted some chicken? maybe Terry Bradshaw was onto something
:D

My *ahem* "Vegan" diet consists of a weekly steak, a little pork and chicken. BTW, whenever I want to treat myself, I mix in some lamb or veal.

I know.. I'm weird. That said, as a Vegan, I tend to work in a lot of Vegatables! :whip:

Wish we could get a picture of him before/after the vegan diet, he looks a lot thinner and leaner this year. Not that it's normally a bad thing but he definitely looks like he could use a few more pounds IMHO.

Hipster Rule #17: Once doing something uncool becomes cool, you must quit doing it.

Which reminds me, **** you pop radio for playing Gotye so damn much.

I don't think this is a going forward re-evaluation/modification of his diet - and I don't think anything's gonna be much different in the next few weeks than the last few. I think it's more an acknowledgement that he hasn't actually been a vegan in the strict sense for a while now (if he ever was)...

Foster was asked how the vegan thing was going Thursday , and he sheepishly admitted he’s strayed from the strict diet.

"Ah, I’ve been, ah I’ve been dabbling back and forth, but I just like to eat healthy," Foster said. "I’ve had meat since I said I don’t eat meat anymore."

Is this still a topic of discussion? Jesus Touchdown Baby Christ. The Texans are 7-1, in large part due to Arian Foster hauling the rock up and down the field. I think it's safe to say now, if not before, that he can take care of himself. Meat, no meat, aliens, bananas, purple stuff, whatever. As long as he keeps the bows coming after drives, who gives half of a flying rats ass what he eats?

Yeah...sounds like he hasn't been vegan thus far. Kinda blows the whole, "lack of meat is what is holding him back" argument if true.

It's mentally very difficult for anyone to stick to dietary restrictions like that, unless cheating affects your quality of life too much. I went two years without ingesting a single molecule of gluten, and I can't overstate the positive effects it had on my health, but now I'm at the point where if someone puts a fresh baked sausage-cheese-jalapeno kolache in my face, I cannot resist.

Everything about this thread is ridiculous. I couldn't care less about his diet and I think it's sad anybody but Arian himself (and perhaps his wife) gives a damn.

It is important. Meat is good for your body!

Especially spicy meats. :chili:
