I Love You Guys.

With the regular season half way over, I just want to say something that I've said before...

I love you guys.

I've loved the NFL since I have memories in my head, and I was a huge Oilers fan but never really felt connected to other groups of fans. Oilers is what I did with my friends.

I love the Texans fan community here, and the efforts to maintain it.

I love the regulars who sit around me at games, and the folks I know from tailgating, interwebs etc.

Anyway, you should never take anything in your life for granted, and always be quick to express things you appreciate, and I appreciate y'all. So there you go.

Let's keep this fun ride going....:koolaid:

Right back at cha. You're a brilliant woman who writes a good column, KNOWS her football...and you look good jeans. :kitten:

Back atcha!

Love your insightful, intelligent viewpoints you bring to our discussions - even the ones I disagree with :D
Keep 'em coming.

now if I could just find someone like you to marry...

"We'll I Love you too Stephanie"

It's hard to find people that both care about the Texans and have the kind of team knowledge you have. Love ya back.

Back at ya! Love the blogs and I'm glad I got to meet you in Baltimore last year. Actually I'm glad to have met all the great people I did meet at that game.

One of these days I will make it down to Houston for a home game and be able to hang out at some Tailgates and meet even more of my Texans friends.

Oh Steph , I hope this a Texans hangover thing . The first time I went to a Texan open practice I walked up and saw a lady with a red cowboy hat , red boots , and such . I knew who it had to be and asked if you were indeed " Texans Chick " . The one and only Texas Chick .

To all the fans who've been here through thick and thin . We're 7-1 and still have't played our best . Buckle up and enjoy the ride .

I, too, have truly enjoyed becoming a part of this Texans community and sharing these seasons together.

You're good people, Steph. I appreciate you & what you do. :handshake:

More to come, folks!

I've known a lot of you guys over ten years now and I remember encouraging (not that she needs any) Texans_Chick to not let sexist football talk guy crowd her out of her space. I always told her that I enjoyed her ability to sense and capture the absurd (or something along those lines). Steph, we wub you too, or at least this fan does (not that there is anything wrong with that). I was in my late 30's when this all started (the on-line community started to gather before the team had an identity) and now I'm creeping in on 50 (geez). I first met elements of the blue crew and the greater fan base well before the team played its first game. LonghornBabe (Kimberly) picked me up at the Arena Place building and we drove a block to the commercial shoot for Academy on 59. It amazes me how many good, decent, generous, kind-hearted people I keep meeting over the years. I've administrated a few different "official" fan bases on the internet for various teams and all of them have a core of great fans but our fan base is very well mannered and pretty darn friendly compared to the other teams I've seen first hand. We seem to have a more polite disposition in this part of the world. Makes me glad I don't live on either right or left coast....but that's getting on to another story. :)

Been very fortunate to have met so many people from here.

Met Texans Chick totally at random. Sat down to watch practice one day and heard a woman behind me very intelligently discussing the Texans and what was going on. I turned around and said "you must be Texans Chick."

Thanks to everyone for the great community.

OK, that's kind of funny.

Couldn't agree more. Everything about the Texans is awesome. From getting together at your local bar for away games to the community and civic pride of tailgating and home games.

Two best moments of this year for me

#1 being in NYC for the Jets game and seeing Texans fans come together and really have a great time enjoying just meeting folks and supporting our city and team

#2 The absolute joy on my aunts face as I took her to her first NFL game since the Oilers as she has lived in Europe since the early 90s. Her saying it was the best event she has ever gone to.
