"Music City shellacking"

@ Jesse James 182 – when Bud Adams had the teams the Oilers in Houston, the city was uncooperative at the time with assisting Bud Adams in getting a new stadium from the old Astro dome, there were few options available when the lease was up for the Astro dome, so Mr. Adams chose to move the team to Nashville, as that city was willing to build a state of the art facility. The Houston Texans came a long later, and the city of Houston without a team was more willing then to build a new stadium. The Houston Texans have been losers every year until the past 2 years, when former Houston Oilers coach Bum Phillips’ son Wade Philips came along as defensive coordinator, helping the team finally have a winning record, but the jury is still out on how this years version of the Houston Texans’ finishes the year.

Guess it's a good thing I don't have an account over there. If so I probabably would have wasted 5 minutes of my life responding to this oblivious individual.

Titans owner Bud Adams left Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears in the third quarter -- walked right out of Nashville's LP Field like the folkies when Dylan went electric -- and it wasn't because the mercurial 89-year-old American Football League pioneer was out of Geritol. He was disgusted by his team's performance in a 51-20 beatdown at the hands of the Bears, an opinion that was hard to dispute.

More piling on.

Shutdown Corner

You just know it kills him everytime he sees Reliant Stadium and the success the Texans are having in his own home town.

If he would have not been his typical bufoon self and had some patience that all would have been his .. the stadium I mean, probably not the success the Texans are having. His team would probably still suck no matter where they play.

I think his most memorable quote from the whole Oilers-to-Nashville thing was that he regrets not letting the Astros move first. Uncle Drayton basically used the old man for leverage, and Adams realized it later. The old shyster got out-shystered!

So how's that regret taste, Nashville fans?? Just like hearing your current wife tell you that she wishes that she was still with her ex-husband (because he left her after he found out she was a lying cheater), just know that your NFL team owner wishes that the big, beautiful stadium on Kirby was his.

He doesn't want to be in Nashvillle. HE STILL LIVES IN HOUSTON.

And I'm confident that he regrets killing the Oilers name, especially seeing how Houston football fans still respect the derrick and love old Oilers players and honor them at every opportunity. Bud Adams killed his own child when he 'retired' the Oilers name. At least he kept that fugly baby blue on the Titans unis.

It could have been yours, Bud. But you are a greedy old fool, and now your hillbilly wife gets to hump the leg of your flaming meatballs for the rest of your life.
