DBrick=DJ=S. Taylor

Working?
Im calling it now. Keep this one bumped. Something will happen at the end of the year, and all the mock drafts will have DBrick going 1 or 2 picks higher than us. Than on draft day, he will magically fall into our hands. I bet we drop down or pass on him and take someone else entirely.

Its hard for a guy to be projected 1-2 picks higher than us when we have the 1st pick.:brickwall

no.. we will have the #1 overall pick.. and we will take Reggie Bush.. leading to a HUGE arguement with people saying:

"Reggie Bush is the next Barry Sanders.. it may seem stupid now, but if we hadnt taken him, you would be kicking yourself in a few years."

and people will make comparisons to Sam Bowie being drafted #2 above Michael Jordan.

Then on the other side of the arguement there will be people saying:

"OMG how can we possibly not draft a tackle when David Carr broke the single season sack record AGAIN!?! Since 2002 we have needed a better Oline and we keep ignoring it. The 2006 season is already doomed to fail"

define failure

unhappiness

hate

fear

Grid you may have passed over to the dark side, you must re-focus the good in your heart and find forgiveness to lessen the fall :bomb:

Yeah then in 5 years we will be saying "why did we take Reggie Bush who is out of the NFL due to injuries when we could have had a perennial pro-bowler LT"

I think lineman have injuries, too. We should trade out the number one spot and pick up multiple picks. We will find good lineman in the mid to late first. I think we can still get reggie like at the number four or three spot. I expect to see Mcniel fall out the first, and othe than Brick and Scott, I don't see much first round lineman. I say we play this draft in the second round and secure at least 3 second round picks to pick up first round talent........

1) Pope
2) C. Carpenter
3) Huff

Scott is not even a top 3 lineman in this draft. Scott is likely a road-grater RT. The LT prospects Ferguson, Winston, Thomas. Those guys right now are the top 3 prospects at LT. Ferguson and Winston are clearly the cream of the crop will both likely be quality players.

Winston, Ferguson, Scott, I dont care who it is, just get one.

I dont want Scott, he just does not impress me.

Winston's ratings, up to just recently, had been pure speculation on how close he could come to pre-injury performance.

I can see us with the 1st pick and then trade down to like #4 and getting D'Brick.

Then with the extra picks we will waste them and draft a RB and a punter or something stupid.

I think REGGIE BUSH, is this year's ST and DJ. The sane thing is to either take Ferguson or trade down a few slots and take Winston or Scott, and get another high pick. The "fancy" pick (like ST and DJ) is to take Reggie Bush.

I think that there is a big difference. The ST and DJ pick were not really fancy picks... they would have been smart picks, we needed players at those positions. I think that the Reggie Bush pick is a dumb pick, not because he wont be good, but because we already have a very solid RB and it would be wrong to draft another play maker and expect them to produce behind a horrible offensive line.

what it basicly boils down to is.. "Would you draft Joe Montana with our line?" the answer is yes... you dont pass on a playmaker...whether you need him or not.

The question is whether or not our scouts feel that Bush is a sure thing.

Reggie hasn't been doing much the past few weeks. He has had 343 and 2 touchdowns in the past 4 games. Although they aren't terrible numbers, they are pretty pedestrian for someone who is being touted as one of the greatest of all time.

that may be true but don't look at the numbers, look at him play...

Or look at how his team uses him--not as a full time RB. There is a reason USC doesn't run him in between the tackles.

That's why I think that Reggie will succeed on a team like Green Bay because they already have their every down back. He can be used like Denver uses Tatum Bell.

tatum bell? No...don't get me wrong Tatum is a very talented player, but I think Mr. Bush will be a little bit better but I do agree that reggie may not be an everydown back but not because i dont think he could handle carrying the load, simply because im not sure of his pass blocking, and i'd rather have him as a slot reciever on most plays any way

I'm not saying that Reggie will be like Tatum Bell. I am saying that he will be used like Tatum Bell. Tatum is only given 10-12 carries because he is a touchdown threat every time he touches the ball. Any more carries and he isn't as effective because of fatigue and risk of injuries. He also won't be on the field as much because he has zero blocking skills and isn't a between the tackles type runner.

Sorry for the confusion

FORGET SEXY!!!! this is freaking FOOTBALL. Get me some ROAD CRUNCHERS up front and let's get this party moving. Unless we impress in the free agent market with o-lineman then i want NO parts of anything in the draft that doesn't start with L and end with T.
